I had an exchange, I walked in unaware that it was almost closing time. I asked if it was okay to walk around with my exchange to grab a new color. Grabbed the color went the counter AND HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE. For one, both ladies were at the counter one was on her phone, the other just standing there, two they returned my foundation I was returning and EXPECTED ME TO PAY A DIFFERENCE BECAUSE SHE RETURNED the items and my full amount of points returned were not back on my card. All I wanted was a new color. Three I was told they could do NOTHING and I would have to contact customer service myself. I said no that is wrong and they should be able to do something because I was simply EXCHANGING my foundation. It turned into a big to do and neither ladies had any idea on what to actually do. The one currently on her phone continued being on her phone. THEN called someone sent her pictures of the receipts and everything because she had no idea what she was doing. Keep in mind she called on her OWN CELL PHONE after being on it in front of me the entire time. She was extremely rude and the lady helping me to begin with had no idea what she was doing. I’m sure she was new and the lady who seemed to have slightly more experience was no help due to being in her PHONE. I’m extremely disappointed as I’ve never had a bad...
Read moreGot my hair done by Morgan the other day, and had a good experience because she was so sweet and seemed to know what she was talking about. My hair turned out a bit more red than we wanted. She seemed disappointed with it too and offered to lighten and tone it again today at 11:15 am. I arrived to my appointment early and waited a bit until another employee, maybe manager, asked me what I wanted to get done to my hair, which should have been listen on my appointment. I told her I believed Morgan was going to lighten it and fix the color. The woman stated Morgan wouldn’t be able to do it today because she supposedly wouldn’t have enough time. That honestly made no sense to me since Morgan scheduled the appointment for me ahead of time. They also didn’t call me ahead of time to let me know they wouldn’t be able to accommodate me, which I wouldn’t have minded as much. I asked if another employee would be available to do it, but the woman did not try to accommodate me and tried to get me to come back a different day. I told her no and that it wasn’t my fault, that this is ridiculous. I walked out, called the ulta in mission valley and Sean got me in right away and fixed the color of my hair and was so sweet to have helped me. I’m pretty disappointed with my experience at this Ulta and will not use their salon...
Read moreFirst I have to say I love Ulta, always have. So when I was recommended to go to Ulta for a silk press I happily agreed but after my experience, I’m never going to recommend anyone else to go to this location with a similar background as I. I am a black woman with natural thick 4a/4b hair and Ulta offers “textured services” but their stylists don’t seem to be adept at handling this type of hair. From first glance you can see my hair is thick and curly and the stylist continues with my “silk press appointment” as scheduled. My first warning was the stylist started using a tool that is not suited for my hair type and another stylist had to show the stylist how to use another tool better suited for my hair type. Afterwards, when the flat ironing stage was complete, my hair did not look like a silk press and more like a bad blowout. I expressed my concern to the management team and they decided to give me a discount instead of owning up to their stylist not knowing what they’re doing. They proceed to say because my hair was “damaged” this is what I get. Incredibly disheartening to waste my day off to receive lackluster work. Please do better at being inclusive to all hair types at...
