Los Angeles County now manages the San Fernando Regional Pool because, due to mismanagement, the City of San Fernando almost went bankrupt paying for it. Thanks to former Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, who stepped up to save our city, we now have a beautiful facility that is the finest example of an aquatic center in Southern California, complete with classrooms and a banquet room with full kitchen, and clean, roomy, changing rooms and showers. Water play includes a terraced pool entrance perfect for toddlers, 2-story water slide, and competition-ready lap pool. It's located next door to Cesar Chavez Park, home to a variety of sports fields, playground and fitness center. In addition to typical recreation programs, the City operates its 2 award-winning music programs, Los Tesoros Youth Mariachi Orchestra and Ballet Folklorico Ollin, out of this site. Chavez Park, across the street from the Chavez Memorial, the first such memorial dedicated to the labor leader, is one of the centers of life in our small,...
Read moreThe San Fernando Regional Pool is an amazing resource in our community, my daughters take swimming clases here and I am very pleased with their progress, also classes are affordable. Life guards are very professional and practice an affective rotation, preventing fatigue and ensuring continuous vigilance. Like in any place, some lifeguards and instructors have better customer service skills - but overall they are great. I like how strict they are about keeping this site clean, and how their focus is ensuring safety. This pool is perfect for taking classes and excersicing - it's serious business here. San Fernando Regional Pool is truly a gem in our community and for those who appreciate a place that offer quality on everything they...
Read moreI purchased a free lap pass at this location for $25 and the next week the pool was closed on and off for three months due to electrical issues. I reached out numerous times to see if I could get an updated swim pass or even a refund and after a year of being given the run around I was told by Leo Barajas, newly promoted I might add, through an assistant named Tori that he could neither provide me with a new swim pass or a refund. Tori by the way called me and it was the first time the pool staff has ever returned a call to me throughout this entire ordeal. I would purchase a swim pass cautiously at this location as the staff while great lifeguards fail to actually value the financial backing...
