Came here with family which they've been here before, but it was my first time dinning at this restaurant. I just wanna say how much I really loved they're Iced Cafe de Olla !! 😍😋 I had grabbed some coffee creamers because I thought the coffee would taste bitter. But much to my delightful surprise it wasn't 😃 - I mean it was slightly bitter but also had the right of amount of sweetness to my liking and therefore decided not to add extra sweeteners lol. As for my food, I ordered the Blueberry Madness Pancakes - which is topped with fresh blueberries, whipped cream, sliced almonds, as well as some powdered sugar & served with maple syrup on the side. Not only are the pancakes topped with Blueberries, but they were also mixed into the batter - which I definitely loved. 🤤🥞 They are true to their words as listed on the menu... The pancakes felt chewy and delicious. The blueberries - OMG they tasted so fresh and didn't feel mushy. I gave a taste to my grandmother and she even loved the taste and texture of the pancakes! 😄 The staff were very patient and generous during our time dinning in. I would be coming back to eat or order from and totally recommend this restaurant to my friends and family!! 😃👏🏻❤

I was excited to taste the tamales, I saw how large the line was to purchase tamales during the holidays. A tamale made without lard piqued my interest. I went to the counter and was met by someone who was not very friendly. My Spanish is raw and she asked what kind I wanted I started to reply when she promptly pointed to the list of tamales to choose from while tapping her finger. I choose 1 dozen chicken / green sauce and 3 pineapples, 3 chili & cheese, and 6 pork in red sauce. Each dozen costs a lil over $36 a dozen. I knew the prices before waking in. However, for $81 for two dozen of tamales, I expected perfection. I was disappointed and not happy with the taste of the tamales, the texture was slimy (made with butter, not lard). The tamales were not dry and they are huge. My mom wanted to try them also and she was not a fan as well. Order one tamale before buying a dozen. I traveled a distance to purchase the tamales and trusted the long lines. My fault for not taking the time to try one first. I cannot comment on the rest of the menu, it looked good. The restaurant was full on this Sunday morning.

This is one of the best places to go, if not the best place to go if you want to have fun! The food here is so amazing! My favorite part about it is the fact that they treat you like family when you walk into the door. Also they have a second-floor there which is amazing if you wanna see the rest of the San Fernando Valley. I went there with family and friends and it was so much fun! There is even organizations for example Somos Familia Valle That have reached out and gotten their food. The food really does feel like home, and the way they serve it is amazing. I love the plates because they serve the tacos on silver zigzag plates. The people there have such a sense of humor, they make you feel comfortable. The food will fill you up because it is so fascinating! I have been there so many times it feels like a second home at this point LOL!

So here's my bad experience at Magaly's tamales, I'm been coming to this place for years before they were Magaly's it use to be a tamale factory, always been a loyal customer but from now I will never set foot there ever again. I'm truly very upset, so I ordered 3 dozen tamales one dozen of chicken, the other dozen of pork and the third dozen of beef, they told me that they would be ready by 4 pm on new years eve and to pay at pick up, they even told me the total. They called me at 1 pm and a girl by the name of Natalie told me that there were no more pork tamales and that if it was OK to switch for cheese and Rajas which is cheese and jalapeños, I said to give me 6 of those and other 6 of beef that way I would still be able to get my 3 dozen tamales. I got another call from Natalie at 3:30 pm half an hour before going to pick them up and told me that there was nothing left other than pork tamales but earlier she told me that there was no more pork. I was like what happened? we had placed an order and you keep calling me telling me that there are no more of these or no more of that, so I said can I speak to your manager to address the issue of not fulfilling the order but she said she wasn't there. I asked Natalie why would guys do something like that, especially on new year's eve, and waiting until the last minute to inform me, she just told that she understands but there were no more tamales left. I told her that's not going to fix anything. So keep this in mind when placing an order. We need another tamaleria in the city of San...

So I've been meaning to go here for several years and finally got around to it.

Parking was a little tricky, hardly any on the street. However, behind the building is 2 hour parking in the city hall parking lot.

Walking into this place was very pleasant. There was a gentleman eating with the front window open and he thoroughly looked like he was in heaven. As you approach the counter there is a window view to where the magic happens. The room looked like a delivery room, very surgical and decotaminated from everything outside and two women were making tamales. It was pretty cool to see. In contrast, the wood interior and pleasant greetings at the register.

I'm a big foodie and can put it back so I was torn between half a dozen to a full dozen. I ended up getting 1 of each option (half a dozen) which came out to be approximately $34 after taxes.

The drive home was excruciating. The smell in my car was very tempting to snack and drive, but I wanted to give my full attention to this awesome smell.

I didn't think about the weight of the bag being heavy until I opened the container and saw 6 beautiful streaming tamales the size of my forearm. These things are massive.

The red sauce they give you I could only ask for one thing to make it better, more more more...... but I had enough for my 6 tamales it was just so good.

So all and all...... don't wait years like I did, go now and you won't be...

I haven't been to this place in quite sometime now because I had a bad experience previously and so today I wanted to give it another try since ownership changed but unfortunately I was displeased.I went to eat with my two girls. I asked for a tamale de pollo along with other items. When our food finally arrived I inquire about the tamale de pollo I had order and she said it would come we start eating and I start sharing my food with my youngest because she was waiting on the tamale and it never came so her crape got cold because she keept waiting on her tamale. She ate some of it but she still wanted her tamale but at this point my oldest and I where done with our food. I went up to the counter to pay and also because I didn't want to be charge a tamale I never got and the girl who took our order was dealing with another issue in the kitchen coming in and out and she see me come up to the counter doesn't say a word and just went inside the kitchen and walked away. Another employee asked me if I had been helped and I told her I wanted a to go box and that I wanted to pay and that I didn't get the tamale de pollo so I didn't want it to be charge and she said the girl never put it in my order I was upset because I had ask her the second time when she had brought our food about the tamale. They seem very unorganized and for the price and the customer service you guys are better of at...
