Franklin Square — Attraction in San Francisco

This is a small park that surrounds a futbol/soccer field. Hadn't been there in awhile, but there's a kids playground and an adult exercise area, but there's places to sit on the grass, under the eucalyptus trees (which seemed to have a nest of hummingbirds living in it-- which they'll come check us humans out, if you don't have a dog with you..) or you can sit in the sun, and watch people playing soccer, or the local kids League.. quiet-ish, bit it's surrounded on 3 sides by busy streets. Safeway is across the street, so you can have a quick picnic.. over allw nice little park, just wish there was...

Love this park! Love the variety of plants and flowers and how well maintained they are ! Love the grass field area , how it’s not just flat. Has a parking lot, believe it or not. Incredible soccer field. It has a good sized kids play area that you wouldn’t expect when you look at the park as you’re passing by. Loved taking my dog (and neighbors’ dogs) there. Yes , it doesn’t have a bathroom, but let’s face it , if it did, people would complain about how it’s not clean and/or being used by homeless folks. You can’t make everyone happy, but to...

This is the closest park within walking distance where I take my dog - grateful to be in walking distance of grass in SOMA! It’s cute and there are some grassy areas with trees, flowers, soccer field and playground.

But like the area around the park, a lot of trash, FOOD etc. so be careful if your dog loves to eat everything he can smell.

My dog has found chocolate, grapes, candy, chicken bones, rotten salami... There’s broken glass everywhere, human poo, dog poo.

I’ll keep going bc it’s convenient and it’s the only option within...
