I had a very bad experience trying to use my guest workout pass. I signed up by the website and i was all set to use it but the receptionist (girl) was arguing with me that I couldn’t use that, because their policy just allowed locals residents. The problem is...I read the entire policy and it doesn’t show it and I was trying to explain her but she didn’t listened me. I asked her to talk with anyone in charge and she was keeping saying “no” there’s no one here. I showed her my guest workout press print where it says”VALID AT ANY 24 hour fitness club” and I asked her to show me the policy where it says I can’t use that club. I felt so stressed that i couldn’t even workout after the other receptionist Anthony showed up and say “you good to go”. He asked us (my friend and I) to sign up “again” on the computer (so what’s the point in sign up by the website? TheyI didn’t even asked us to see the email with our guest access) So I went to the gym but as I said I was to too stressed that I couldn’t do it. I try to have a shower but restrooms are bad. But it’s my issue was that first receptionist. She should read the policy before try to apply something that is not there. She not professional at all she they way she treated as customer is disgusting. Unfortunately if I had any idea in join to this club, it’s gone now.

Yesterday I tried to go into 24 Hours Fitness with my electric scooter, but they wouldn't let me in and asked me to tie my scooter up outside in the parking lot. When I came back from my workout, the scooter was stolen. This gym doesn't care about customer safety at all. They have no cameras or security system. My scooter was tethered with a lock, but the thief sawed through the parking structure with a saw. I noticed that other bikes and scooters have been stolen here many times as well, but the administration doesn't care. Also, this gym is very dirty. Sometimes homeless people just come in here for a wash. They come into the sauna in sneakers and jeans, they visit the pool in their clothes. That was a particular shock to me. In the area with exercise machines people don't have any culture, no one is cleaning weights for themselves, there's always a lack of dumbbells, because they are scattered all over the gym. This is the same situation at all the gyms in this retail. I cancelled my subscription after my first visit. Very dirty and unpleasant place.

This gym isn’t very well maintained. Beyond cleanliness, the biggest issue is that weights are rarely re-racked — it’s always a struggle to find matching pairs. As shown in the picture, weights are often scattered all over the floor. The staff should start each day by arranging the weights properly and ensure members return them after use. A clear and enforced re-rack policy would make a huge difference. It’s really not hard to educate members on basic gym etiquette. I’ve even seen people toss used tissues on the floor after wiping equipment — staff should remind everyone to use the trash bins. Unfortunately, many 24-hour gyms in San Francisco seem to overlook these basic rules and don’t enforce them, which is disappointing and irresponsible. I strongly urge this gym to start implementing and reinforcing these simple standards — if you keep reminding members, some will follow and encourage others to do the same.

This place is disgusting. I can't tell you how badly I've had to keep myself from gagging in the restroom. The mold in the showers is all black - more black is visible than the white of grout. People take off the little bandaids they put on their face to cover pimples in the shower, stick on the glass of the door and I'm not kidding - its been there for over 3 months...and still there. The ceiling in the showers beads up with condensation - covering all of the mold and then drops on you when your in the shower. You can feel when you get dropped on, because the drops colder than the shower. The thought of that filth dripping on me while I'm trying my best to get clean in that repulsive shower makes my stomach turn.

There is only one power outlet that works and it's so old and worn, no matter what you plug into it, it just falls out. ... so I'm there, trying to dry my hair, plug wants to fall out, I'm trying my best not to move around too much. The wall near the outlet is covered in the most disgusting combination of who knows what - but it's very thick and yellow.

Walking on my way out - trying to get out of there, it's impossible to avoid walking right in front of the fan - which just reminds me of all the germs and bio nastiness has just been anatomized and now it's in my mouth and nose and eyes.

This place should be condemned. I don't think it's possible to fix. It should be bull dozed, exposed to the radiation of the sun for a very long period of time. If I was a neighboring business, I would demand this place be shut down. God only knows how far this infection of a gym can spread.

Seriously...for your health - do...

Please. Please clean the women's locker room. I've been going to this gym for over 2 weeks and I have seen no signs of it being cleaned, yet the free soap in the dispensers in the showers are getting refilled so employees have to go in there. I've daydreamed of hiring a cleaning crew myself, or bringing my own cleaning products and scrubbers and cleaning the shower stall I use. This... Shouldn't be something I have to think about, let alone daydream about when going to workout at the gym. I love the location and super easy and free parking, but please clean the locker room.

Side note: I went to the gym this morning only to find a note written in chalk on the front door that the power was out. I couldn't go all the way back home in the East Bay so I had to go to a friend's home to get ready for work! Safeway had their power on, so... Huh. I hope it's open tomorrow! 🙏

Update 2 months later, 8/21/18: There is black mold throughout the showers, hair in the drains, makeup on the counters, and hair and debris on the floors. The ventilation system seems to be non-functioning. I have not seen one person cleaning this facility, therefore I have a feeling this gym gets "cleaned" once a month if that. It's disappointing. It's such a convenient location for me and my workplace so I continue to go. I just don't touch anything.

Update: 6/5/19 Showers are still not being cleaned. I was last here a week ago and there was a sanitary napkin stuck to the wall in a shower stall. It's still there when I was at the gym today. WTF. How are the showers, THE SHOWERS, not...

Unbelievably bad serivice. I already have a membership for SF Fitness in Oakland and was looking for a gym I could get a second membership in SF for me a friend to introduce them to powerlifting. We both sign up for guest passes online so we can check out the facility. The website doesn't really call out any additional requirements. Our whole Saturday was planned around this.

Friday we get a courtesy call asking when we plan to come in. I say later in the day Saturday.

When we get there on saturday there's a single person at the desk on the phone. We wait 5-10 minutes until he finally gets a moment to ask if we need a towel. Nope, here to check the facilities and claim our guest pass. He says he'll be with us in a moment. ~15 minutes later he informs us we both need an SF address (only one of us does and I'm not sure why it matters because I want an SF membership) and that even if we both did there's no sales rep there to issue us the guest pass.

So, I paid for two cabs and waited in traffic jams and put both our days on hold and skipped my session at my gym to....just be turned away? All I wanted to do was walk in, find out if I can squat and deadlift, make sure my friend has what they need to get started and then buy a membership. Instead I guess I have to take get a Oakland location to issue me a guest pass?

Nope. Taking my friend to SF Fitness. Paying $15 for a day...
