Dropped off the wife to see the Nutcracker play( that word hurts..lol). Then went down to Pier 39 for dinner and me time. If you go to the theater you must pre plan your parking. There are several close by within walking distance of the theater. Read the parking lot reviews before booking a space and I wpuld hoghly recommend the covered valet lots that are near by.
Get there early and have dinner or lunch at one of the nearby restaurants before you go into the theater as the menu at the Cafe inside is very limited and IMO to pricey for what you get.
If you are doing a drop off like I did and then go back for the pick up.
There are some limited parking spots in the front of the theaters and you can double park for a short time, just stay with your car and be alert as at pick up time lots of other cars are doing the same as you.
The street the theater is on is very very busy with traffic so be safe and be patient and watch out for the jay walkers. Why people wear black at night when crossing the street always baffles me.

The exterior is exquisite and so is the interior with much of the building being open to the public on weekdays.
All of this made for excellent features for our blend of 3D projection mapping and lighting as our team illuminated the exterior entrance and main hall proscenium for the recent event, "Reimagined".
