Bookstore is great, there is one terrible manager/micro manager though! An employe behind the counter asked a customer "sir did you find the book you were looking for?" customer response "yes thank you but I won't be buying it today have a great day" Then once the customer left the store manager comes up to the employee and says " customers here don't like to be asked questions and disciplined him for having basic social skills?! Large selection of books in a spacious interior. Has that national, corporate book chain feel, but I know it is a Bay Area company. I used to frequent the Books Inc. in the Castro before it shuttered its doors. I was brought to this location because of a certain book. Admittedly, I searched at another popular SF bookstore beforehand, but they did not have the title I wanted. Love Books, Inc. I was determined to buy a book I wanted in person rather than online. Called around to every bookstore in the South Bay & up the peninsula, and this was the only store that had it! I was happy to make the trip up to see friends & support the store. The company is the oldest bookstore in California, if not the West Coat and their employees are so helpful & loyal.
