Is this authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi's? No, but it's still good! We walked here on a Saturday afternoon seeking a new place to try. The place is non-descript ont he outside, with a really small sign beside the doors. The menu is really small, with 4or 5 options for banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches), Fresh Rolls (spring rolls), and Fresh Bowls (vermicelli bowls). We ordered the five spice chicken sandwich and the roast duck sandwich. Both were really good, packed with pickled vegetables and fresh homemade mayo. The meats were both well seasoned and were very distinct. His five spice chicken was flavorful and hearty. My roast duck was juicy, with bits of roasted duck skin tucked in, packing even more flavor.
We will definitely be back for quick...

Good-sized sandwich. I crushed it immediately but at that size many people could eat half for lunch and take half home for part of dinner. $8 for 1.5 meals in SF is a deal.
Sriracha available but unnecessary when it's so good. I might ask for double jalapeños instead.
The "Fresh" bowl is the vermicelli option, and that's next for me whenever I'm...
Read moreI typically love this place and was excited to see it open on Christmas Eve so I could grab a quick Banh Mi. The wait was 15 min as it was early, and they were still prepping - totally understood.
Grabbed my banh mi and took it home - however to my surprise, they used a store bought sourdough French roll… and the bread was not fresh baked at ALL. If they didn’t have fresh bread ready, I wish they had told me. Or at least gave me the option. The best part of Banh Mis is the bread and I was so upset to see it was not up to par to what I usually get...
