Mainland Market Co. — Attraction in San Francisco

Good selection, but things were kind of expired or near expiration and pricy - possibly as a result of big selection/low volume. This place has been a bit up and down for several years with remodels and various store resets. There was a time right around when they’d started renovating and a few years after it was great, a bit pricy, but again good selection. There was a butcher in the back who was nice and great meat prices, but I haven’t tried any of that recently. It’s the only Acme bread place nearby except Andronico’s.

We got some expired milk on accident a couple of months ago. I won’t shop here regularly but I’ll still pop my head in occasionally.

This is the BEST market in the whole Richmond District! Tony, the new owner, has improved it so much since taking over last year.

He has created a charming, well-stocked new market and a delightful shopping experience with world music, fresh artisan bread, wonderful organic produce for example.

The prices are really good for the convenience of a neighborhood market in walking distance from where I live. And I feel so much better about supporting small business rather than big corporations like Trader Joes or...

Great place. I usually shop there. Unique food . Some items you can't find in stores. But I become a victim of an older shirt Asian lady who was on a condor. she was very racist and rude towards me. she smiled and talked nicely to asian men in front of me. but when it was my turn she starts yelling and throwing my stuff.
