Ocean Beach DJ, Yoga, Breathwork, & Bonfires

As a lover of beaches, Ocean Beach, on the western tip of the San Francisco peninsula, is one of the most serene and lovely places to experience a beach, especially for the first time. Ample parking off the Great Highway and easy access start the introduction. From your car you gaze off into the distance, trying to grasp the imenseness that lay before you. As you descend the sea wall stairs you land lightly on the fine to medium grained sand, explore an expansive beach, a fire ring, or a gently sloping tidal edge. Energized by the fresh air, the ions or the magnatite rich sand you'll find yourself headed to one of the fine restraunts located across the road or up on the hill. An antidote to what ails, this is a beautiful and peaceful and recentering place that will continue to call you back.

Such a beautiful location. The sunset was nice to watch. The waves were soothing & peaceful. So many doggos to see & admire. The sand is so nice & there is plenty of space so one doesn't feel crowded. I did go on a monday so maybe that's why there's weren't many people. Everyone kept distance & respected space. That's very important these pandemic days. If you plan on visiting keep safe & clean. Talking about cleaning the beach is very clean, I saw no big trash. The only things I saw were two straws & one cigarette bud. Those were picked up & disposed of properly. I gave nothing but good thoughts of this beach. I highly recommend visiting when it is safe to do so.

San Francisco Ocean Beach is a captivating coastal gem stretching along the western edge of San Francisco, California. This picturesque beach extends for approximately 3.5 miles, offering a breathtaking expanse of sandy shores and mesmerizing ocean views.

Nestled between the vast Pacific Ocean and the magnificent dunes of the Outer Sunset neighborhood, Ocean Beach beckons both locals and tourists alike. Visitors can relish invigorating walks, basking in the crisp sea air, and witnessing awe-inspiring sunsets that paint the sky with vibrant hues.

Ocean Beach is a haven for surfers, attracting wave-riders from all skill levels. The consistent swell and impressive surf breaks make it an ideal destination for those seeking thrilling water adventures. However, its powerful undertows and chilly waters require caution and respect for the ocean's power.

Nature enthusiasts revel in the beach's diverse wildlife, with seabirds soaring overhead and the occasional glimpse of marine life in the waves. The nearby Golden Gate Park offers an excellent opportunity for a seamless transition from the beach to a verdant urban oasis.

Whether one seeks relaxation, adventure, or simply a chance to connect with nature, San Francisco Ocean Beach fulfills all desires. With its vastness and untamed beauty, this coastal paradise stands as a beloved destination where the rhythmic sounds of crashing waves create a symphony of...

At the risk of sounding like a broken record; Again, with the glorified baby sitters, the Police; City & County, not the Federal police whom in my opinion, are most down to earth, compassionate, considerate and human, of all combined. ( With minor exceptions)😚, Lay off with the babysitting. 99% of people visiting, enjoying, and being a part of this community of Beautiful Ocean Beach are adults. Over 21 adults. Theres no neef to drive police vehicles on the walkway, ( hazardous I may ad), flashing red & blues at the stroke of 10p.m. EVERY night enforcing an unwritten, or un voted on curfew, for consenting Adults. By the way my children are all over 21. Sandy area closes at 10pm. If you plan to stay the night, plan to be ticketed $76 between 2a.m.-5a.m if your parked there--7 days a week the sign says,-- but they single out to ' whom' tickets are issued. Not good PR boys n girls. Why is the sandy area closed. My wife of 40+ years and I like to enjoy the surf, stars, and Peace fullness a quiet togetherness after most people are gone to their home or are doing the same as us. If you like babysitting go. Nice place. We're adults. If you like control it's a place for you. If not, it's not...

It's wonderful gathering around a fire on the beach. Bring your own wood as there is none available. Ocean Beach from Fulton St. to Lincoln Blvd. has fire pits regulated by the National Park Service. There are signs by the beach stairs across from the park stating use rules. Check the website for the latest version. Last I heard, the NPS had changed the policies for pit use by requiring reservations, and forbidding burning plastic & trash. Fires can burn only until 9pm if a ranger comes by.

If this is your 1st time at the beach, note that this is Northern California. The area and water can be cold and windy in the afternoon and evening year around. Don't expect to swim in the waves. The current is very strong and dangerous. People have jumped in, been carried away and died. This is not a user friendly swimming beach!

Ocean Beach south of Lincoln and past the zoo is informal. There are no fire pits or a burning curfew. There are restrooms, including a modern disability one at Judah and Sloat Blvd. Open 8am to an hour...
