Bero Scalp Spa — Attraction in San Gabriel

This was my first time at Bero Scalp Spa and I did the 60min scalp purifying treatment. The spa is located in a plaza with plenty of parking underground and it’s right next to the Hilton on Valley. It’s also on the second floor. Upon walking in, you can see how clean the space is and the environment is very welcoming.

Before you do your treatment, you are given a scalp consultation. The technician goes over each part of your scalp and tells you in detail about what treatments you might need. They then tell you what they will do for your session and what products they’ll use/what it does. You then are given a QR code to scan that is your scalp consultation report, which I really loved because then I can reference back to it later.

You’re then taken to the room where your session will take place and given a top to change into. Then your session begins! A fun treat was that you actually lie in one of those full body massage chairs for your treatment! I never used one before so that was amazing! Part of the scalp treatment did also include a shoulder and neck massage from the specialist as well. At the end of the session, your specialist will show you your scalp again so you can see the difference and then they blow dry your hair and add in other treatments that leave your hair so soft and shiny. Once you walk back out into the lobby, you’re treated to a cup of herbal tea which was soo delicious and the perfect way to end a relaxing session.

What I loved about Bero is that you’re informed about everything. My treatment specialist told me everything she was going to use and what it would do before she used the product. Had a Scalp Purifying Spa session (60 min, $119) at Bero Scalp Spa, and it was such a treat! The space is clean, and the staff was so welcoming and nice.

The scalp consultation was thorough, going over different aspects of my scalp health - like hair density and hydration. The coolest part to me was the QR code at the end of the consultation that lets you load your report on your phone for review later.

For the actual treatment, I basically laid down in a massage chair with my head over a wash basin. My specialist was sweet and attentive, making sure the massage pressure and water temperature were comfortable for me. The specialist handles the head, neck, and shoulder massage as well as the hair wash.

After the hairwash and steam, I got a second look at my scalp (so clean!) before my hair and scalp were given the finishing products (the minty scalp spray is my favorite) and my hair dried. I appreciated that every step and product was explained, and Bero uses only gentle and organic products. The whole session ended with a cup of fresh tea and a wafer.

Highly recommend coming for a treat-yourself-day! It was so relaxing. Package pricing is available, but for this month, Bero offers seasonal promos too! For example, there are promotions in October for Halloween.

WOW, this was my first time getting a scalp treatment and it was everything that I thought it was going to be. My skin and scalp dries out very quickly during the winter so I have been really itchy lately and decided to give it a go.

This plaza has underground parking so no need to worry about that. It is located on the top right of the plaza. It just opened in August so it is brand spankin new.

When I first walked it, it was warm inside so it already gave very cozy vibes. Then I was greeted by the manager Yu who gave me my scalp analysis right away so we could review what the main area of focus should be for the treatment. I went with a hydration focus in certain areas. I read most of the reviews and was so glad to have gotten my treatment from Alice, she has magical hands!

Once you lay down, you get a full body massage from the chair and she got right to work. She combs through your hair while grazing your scalp to activate all your senses. Along with the hair, she will give your shoulder area a massage as well. I felt so relaxed and rate it a 12/10.
