On April 26, 2022 we arrived at the copy center/ counter waiting for our turn in line. Can I help you an employee asked, Yes we received a call last night, our 7 spiral binder are ready for pick-up. The employee (Vicky) didn't bother looking behind the counter she quickly said your order is up front. I walked up front the young man asked for our name and quickly checked behind the counter near the entrance of the store. Let me check behind the counter at the copy center. Something Vicky could have done but instead she sent me up-front to the checkout counter. We thanked the young man for his assistance after receiving our prepaid order. We asked Vicky if she could make another Spiral binder showing her the one's we had just received from the young man. Explaining to Vicky we could pick-up another day if needed. We wanted it make the same way the previous 7 had been made the day before. We sent the cover letter to the in-store email address. Vicky told us she hadn't received it , so we sent a second email. Vicky said we had sent 2 emails, yes it's a duplicate you said you didn't receive the first one so we sent a second. We would like a clear plastic cover followed by the copy we sent in color and on think paper. We are sending you the insert that needs to be double sided with a black plastic on the bottom bound with the Spiral holder. This conversation took place in spanish through out the conversation I had taken notice that when Vicky spoke in English she was pleasant. The problem was while speaking Spanish Vicky was rude we asked if she was upset, why was Vicky being rude to us when helping English speaking customers she was pleasant. I asked why Vicky was rude and felt superior to spanish speaking customers as if she was discriminating against her own culture. She responded by saying don't you try and use the discrimination card on me. I let Vicky know I was going to ask Jeremy ot help us. I walked to the other end of the counter to ask Jeremy if he could complete our transaction. We walked back and Vicky tried to explain to Jeremy what we wanted. I then asked Vicky to walk away I no longer needed her assistance. Jeremy was not only able to understand what we need Jeremy was able to complete the task and we where able to make the purchase minutes later. We asked for the manager she didn't give us her name we explain to her what had taken place with Vicky and how we felt discriminated against for speaking Spanish. She basically said Vicky didn't work in the copy center and she had problems with her children at home. She would talk to Vicky. We do business with office max on a regular basis. Every encounter we experienced with Superior Vicky is just horrible. Not the person I want assigning us on any future visits...

I was running late for for a project and I stopped by different office supply stores and they either made excuses that they were closing or didn't have enough time or staff or what have you. And I walked into the store I I was greeted. I walk to the back of the store and I seen a big line so I said I can't wait I don't have enough time it was about 8:30 pm. What do the front of the store met Anna at the register who was helpinga customer . She was very polite and said that a gentleman who was her co-worker would help me. I wanted to transfer some information from a meeting recorder to a USB or some sort of thing like that.Mr Dat. Even though they did not offer a service like that this gentleman took it upon himself to look it up online and try to assist me the best he could but the lack of my information or knowledge with the stuff prevented him from helping me with the help I needed.All frustrated I walked to the back of the store hoping I would find somebody else that may understand my computer illiteracy. I ran into Mr Nobu. I told him my dilemma and with no esthetician he said he he could help me but he apologized said there were a couple more customers he need to take of. Within 8 minutes he was back took me to an area where he suggested what to buy what I needed and so did Mr Dat. He took me to the plug the things in together I don't know what he did but he told me that I needed to wait 17 minutes for these things to upload and Iwas ready to go. I asked him to double-check the price of a printer because it was ringing up differently than the one I wanted. He did so and we switched the printer. Then he tried to upsell me paper in exchange for getting the warranty plan. After I asked him to double-check the price of the notebook he said that "even through the advertised price is $9.95, since it is ringing up as $17.95 I have to sell it for that price." I told him that since the price advertised is $9.95 for that exact item as advertised by their tag, he needed to honor the price as they had marked on the tag. He called the manager over the radio saying "this customer is wrong about the price and they want it for a lower price." Then proceeded to tell me that I was wrong because he had worked in retail for a long time. I told him that it is the law that they would needed to honor their advertised price as it is noted on their shelf (also, it was not a sale price). When the manager came he said he would honor it right away. In walking to the register I told the manager that I would prefer that he rang me up for the items I was getting. Kevin again argued saying "is there any reason I should not get that sale. It is my up and I deserve it". Neither the manager or I said anything.
