This is more of a Public Service Announcement than a review... PSA: Westgate West is NOT Westgate Mall, nor is it Westgate Center. Westgate Mall is on the Westgate Center property between Saratoga Ave & Hamilton. Westgate West is the parking lot across the street (WEST OF WESTGATE... hence the name), off Prospect Rd & Lawrence Expressway. They are 2 different places. Please stop posting photos of Westgate mall on the Westgate West page and please stop writing reviews of Westgate West that mention stores in the mall or the Westgate Center property. Once again, Westgate West is not Westgate Mall. Thank you for your cooperation. This concludes this public service announcement.
Review: Most of the stores in Westgate West have moved in the past few years due to soaring rent prices, in part. Boston Market is gone, Posh Bagel is long gone, Quiznos left, McDonald's moved long ago, OSH is now gone, Teacher's Helper long gone, CVS moved to Quito & Saratoga, Royal coffee gone, Lyon's gone, Ravioli's gone, Golden Wok gone, Fedex Kinkos moved to Westgate Center, Sizzler long gone, Frankie Johnnie & Luigi gone, Blockbuster gone (though that was not too surprising), PW gone, Burger King gone, It's A Grind gone... Seriously, what stores have remained? Smart & Final, Trader Joe's, Ethan Allen, Pier 1, and the bank? This place keeps changing. They've been doing a lot of construction lately. Hopefully when they're finally done we don't keep seeing more vacancies and...

The layout is decent, parking is usually manageable, and it’s easy to get in and out, which is always a plus. Still, every time I stop by, I find myself wishing they offered a little more variety, especially when it comes to food options.
Right now, it feels like the kind of place you go when you need something quick, not when you want to spend time there. A few more restaurants or casual dining spots would make a huge difference — something to turn a quick errand run into a place to grab lunch, meet a friend for coffee, or just linger a bit.
There’s definitely potential here. With a few new food spots or some fresh additions, this plaza could become a real community hub instead of just another convenient stop on the way...
