The defect was not obvious at the store but it locks up if you pull in a certain way and I only found that while on a trip. So I took it back, well within their return window but the lady at the counter refused to take it back saying it has been used. Of course it was - that's how I found the defect. That's when she said I should have brought it back sooner. When I pointed out I was well within their return window, she won't answer, saying it's their final decision. I was left with no option other than filing a dispute with my credit card company and thankfully my bank refunded the money. In the end, I got my money back. TJ Maxx lost a long time customer. Tried asking but seemed to be helped by an employee who ignored me and was not in the mood to answer my question or one who seemed like they couldn't understand me. I understand we're in a pandemic but it can't be used as an excuse for retail/customer service oriented field. This was my first time entering this establishment so I was not familiar with this type of store. So to all who shop please don't look for any type of customer service and don't look for social distancing as well because the patrons also are too close even with the marker.
