World Market — Attraction in San Jose

I love this place. You can get a GIANT CAN OF HERRING!! Enough to feed a squad, it not a platoon. German hot dogs in a tall jar? Yessir! Plus every kind of salted liquorice, yes I'll use the British spelling, marshmallow fluff (best mouse bait there is) all kinds of imported goods. I get my Ty-Phoo tea here and it's not easy to turn a Yank into a tea drinker but that stuff did it.

I will caution: The Asian goods are overpriced. You can do far better in an Asian market. But to just try a thing, it doesn't matter if you overpay to see if you like a thing. Oh, and they have tons of Haribo! I recommend the liquorice wheels, but you can go nuts on their Haribo rack, yes they have a Haribo rack .... and tasters of liquors, tons of 'em, if you like that sort of thing.

They're also pretty well stocked on coffee, and have those little Italian coffee makers ... Moka Pot? Bialetti? Yeah I think that's it and at pre-covid prices.

4 stars for World Market, love them, even though they messed up an online order for me today. They filled an order incorrectly, and now I have to try to buy it elsewhere, because it’s pretty much all sold out, and before Christmas...

1 star for the manager Arlene, who had an attitude that was just frustrating to be around. I especially felt bothered by how she spoke to other employees. Also didn’t handle my situation very well at all, or just didn’t bother.

World Market is a GREAT place to shop, especially around Christmas! I find so many delicious treats from my home country of Germany! I shop at World Market every Christmas season and get my favorite items for very good prices!

I love shopping and browsing in the store and seeing what is on the shelves. But, if you are like me and have mobility issues, it’s a wonderful alternative to shop online, put everything that catches your eye into your online cart, go over your cart a million times (maybe that’s just me!😉), and then check out and pay online and get your 10% discount for picking up your items at the store. Such an easy way to shop! They’ll bring your stuff out to your car, or you can go into the store to get it....
