We had our wedding ceremony here and overall, it was a beautiful and memorable experience. The rituals were performed with great care and devotion, and everything was well-coordinated. The priests explained each step thoughtfully, which helped both us and our guests connect with the traditions. Our guests were looked after warmly, and the authentic South Indian-style cuisine served was delicious. The temple itself is very well-maintained, clean, peaceful, and spiritually uplifting. The staff and volunteers were cooperative with our family throughout the event, and the accompanying music added a lovely touch to the atmosphere.
That said, there were a couple of things we felt could have been handled better. Initially, we were in contact with a different priest who had given us a specific quote and didn’t ask for any deposit. Unfortunately, closer to the date, we found out he had gone to India and would not be performing the ceremony, something we wish we were informed about earlier.
When the new priests took over, the cost increased significantly due to additional dakshina and the inclusion of another priest (brought in as a translator), which we weren’t told about in advance. While he was helpful, we weren’t sure if this addition was necessary. We were never given a detailed itemized bill in written form (just verbal estimate, and the final amount ended up being almost double the original quote).
So while we highly recommend this temple for its service, setting, and spiritual ambiance, we do suggest future couples ask for a written, itemized cost breakdown early on to avoid any surprises on...
Read moreWe recently hosted our kid's anna prashana function at Sri Krishna vrundavana temple. We are frequent visitors here and wanted to host an event here and got a chance . The place and food was provided by the temple at a cost. The food and place was amazing. but the hospitality from the priests.(not sure if they were priests or volunteers) was very rude and unpleasant. We had our event to be started at 11am. We were there very early and main priest told us to wait and said we shall start 11.45 and ritual was small one and would not take much time . we started at 11.45 finished 12.20 we had about 40 guests. This volunteer priest came running over and started to raise his voice at all of us saying its time .allocated time is over rush for lunch. It was outrageous behavior. we were shocked and our guests were too. We said we cannot rush the lunch so we will need some time. they charged us an extra $200. We had no choice as we had guests and it is an important event for us. We finished all our tasks and lunch. another volunteer kept telling us to vacate. We understand the rush, but it was not us who delayed the start of the event . Not kind at all. Extremely rude. I am saddened to see this behavior...
Read moreApart from all the good things, we had a very bad embarrassing experience. We performed pooja well to our satisfaction, but during dinner we faced embarrassing situation. We were around 22 people for dinner apart from 4 infants. That too two were under 6 months. Naturally infants had some problems & we started dinner. Our custom is to tell everyone during dinner “ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ , ಸಾವಕಾಶವಾಗಿ ಊಟ ಮಾಡಿ”. With pain I am writing, instead of telling as per our custom we forced to tell the guests “ ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಬೇಗ ಬೇಗ ಊಟ ಮಾಡಿ ಬೇಗ ಬೇಗ ಎದ್ದೇಳಿ”. ಎಂಥಹ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ. Of course we understand the timings of Mutt, because of infants & just chit chatting with our guests, we were shocked when the lights were off at exactly 8pm indirectly telling us to “ GET OUT OF THE PREMISES “. Almost with tears we went out in severe cold condition with infants. This type of bitter experience we have not experienced anywhere except in this mutt. We left Mutt heavy heartedly cursing ourselves for arranging “DINNER “ for guests. No one had food satisfactorily. This bad review I am writing with a hope at least further no one will be ill treated like this & the matter will reach the...
