It is almost impossible to come to Green Thumb, and not find something you can use in your garden, for decorating your home or landscaping areas. Everything you need for planting, growing, updating your space. They have a great selection of pottery, fountains, figurines, and that's just the beginning....

If you have a special occasion, anything to celebrate it all, you will find everything you could possibly want here - when it comes to unique gifts and whimsical decor. Gnomes, bird houses, butterflies, hanging items, wind chimes, holiday collections, kitchen, religious items, that special something that you have not found elsewhere. There are also a wide range of garden supplies, fresh orchids, exotic succulents, landscape plants, flowers, strawberries, rose bushes, fruit trees, fire pits, hats, gardening gloves, bird feeders, etc.

Children will also enjoy exploring the site, finding the unique figurines, animals and other unexpected creatures throughout the nursery. Just be sure to accompany your little ones, as there are breakable items that are not for small hands, in some areas.

From the moment my wife and I walked into The Green Thumb, it was love at first sight! We were referred to the nursery by our next door neighbor who has been assisting me in the creation of a tea garden for my wife. He mentioned how happy he was with his new house plants and how after 6-months time they were still growing and beautiful. The usual big-name garden centers, while convenient in some respects, always seemed a little shy on variety. I was looking for something more esoteric and unique to complement the garden’s layout. With mountains of colorful Talavera pottery at far and away at the most reasonable prices, I went a bit nuts! The huge selection of planting containers in every color, also for prices so low it made me wonder why I had been paying up to three times more elsewhere, had me hooked. I had really only intended to purchase a container or two once we got there. But I ended up walking away with several pots plus some extraordinary high quality perennials that I thought at first were mislabeled because the prices listed were so low! So I've been going here for 6 years and let me tell you a few things about this nursery.

This nursery has a large selection of plant goodies in here. You want corn? You got it, they have it. You want Kiwi? You got it. You want flowering trees of many types? You got it! Herbs of all kinds? Right here! Water plants for the pond? Oh definitely. Want some fish like Koi with that too? Come right in! If they don't have it, they can order it for you! I remember asking for some iceberg roses and BAM! They got it for me. If something goes wrong with your plant, you can take it back for a refund or exchange w/receipt.

You want some tools and decor for that garden? A fountain for the birdies to splishie splashie? Oh stop right by. The staff are also very knowledgeable and hospitable in fulfilling your needs, and help carry the plants for you if you wish!

Honestly with how mesmerizing this nursery is, I always go visit and buy here for a lot of my plant needs, no matter where in San Diego County I lived in, to the point where I wished I lived there at the nursery! Haha there's a bird nesting on one of the info desks, bees buzzing around, and lots of butterflies fluttering about.
