I purchased a portable Bluetooth speaker for my wife as a Christmas present. It did not work and today when i wanted to return it they(Ross) would not except my exchange for a working one. I even offered to buy a more expensive speaker and give them more of my money. The manager (Alma) refused. They told me i needed the receipt or price tag. I lost my receipt and of course i removed the price tag because i didn't want my wife to know how cheap i am buying her present from Ross.
I know in the past Ross was able to look up my purchase via my credit card used to purchase and process exchange and or refund.
Manager on duty did not want to take her time to verify my purchase via my credit card and told me to leave if i cant provide receipt or tag.
I told her this piece of junk speaker doesn't work and does me no good. I explained how she aided Ross in stealing my 39.99 and left the DOA speaker on the counter and walked out leaving it there.

   Read moreI had a return from a different ross location WITH the receipt but without the ross tag (that’s how it was purchased), the cashier didn’t want to return it and told me very rudely to take it back to oceanside. I asked for a manager and she told me she was one of the managers. if she was a manager she’s not a very good one. I stopped by the vista location on the way home and the cashier there returned it immediately. when I told her I tried to take it back in san marcos and was denied customer service, the vista associate said “seriously?” I asked her if she thinks the san marcos cashier was just being lazy and she said yes. so thank you ross san marcos for your lack of customer...
   Read moreStore was open late and that worked well for my needs. It was pleasently clean in the areas I visited in mens and ladys tops for that late in the evening. Unfortunately when in line, the lady who was assisting in the return/purchase line, (I believe, the manager) failed to say anything to me except for....next purchase. No hello, friendly smile or anything to make me feel like I was actually standing there as more than just a quick transaction. I only got a thank you after I said it to her first when leaving. I was let down by that as I know Ross trys to focus on a good customer service impression. It just wasnt that for me tonight. Hopefully it was...
