My friend and I recently had lunch at this restaurant and Silvia was our waitress. The restaurant wasn't very busy and I haven't been there in awhile. We received chips that were stale and hard to start with. Loved Acapulco's chips (restaurant before)!
My friend ordered Fajitas' which were GREAT however I ordered 2 chicken tacos ala carte, they were sooooo dry I couldn't eat them however our waitress literally disappeared for 10 min after serving us ( plus throughout the meal) and by the time she came back my friend was almost finished, I told her how incredibly dry they were and she said "oh that's because they were deep fried" I said with the chicken in them? She said "yes"! This isn't a fast food restaurant for goodness sake! Anyway she asked if I wanted something else and I would have ordered the fajitas but she had disappeared for so long after serving us that it was too late so she them brought me a tiny little plate of plain nothing chicken, it was just weird. I was a server back in school days and the NUMBER 1 rule is to check back within 2 minutes of serving food. We were deciding whether or not to have dessert when she arrived with our check!
Well I guess that solved our dilemma we weren't even given the opportunity. Looked at the check, did she even take a little off off since I only ate 1/2 of 2 tacos? NOPE!
I am really coming to the conclusion customer service is a thing of the past and I tipped accordingly. $40 for lunch and wasn't even an enjoyable experience. Sad for her as I am up to a 30% tipper, but that comes with excellent service. Wont go back! She got 10% and that...
Read moreI knew that their Mother’s Day brunch was going to be packed, so I took my mom on Friday before, and we were seated immediately. This location is at least 4-5x larger than their sister location off of E. Valley Parkway in Escondido. We were given a table in a back banquet room; they didn’t force one room to be filled before using other banquet areas. They spread us all out for more spacious dining and enjoyment. It was a huge plus!
We were seen to by at least three different people. Our waitress was attentive and made a few passes to make sure we were happy. There were two others, and then what I believe was the manager to see if we needed anything else. So attentive service without crowding you is definitely a good sign that this location knows how to get diners to return.
The food. Oh my tamale, the food was exceptional and couldn’t have been any more perfect. I love when a chef gets the Spanish rice perfectly fluffy with just the right flavors. The enchilada was stuffed with chicken, not holding back and cheating you. I can appreciate that. The chips kept coming, hot and fresh with tasty salsa that is so addictive I think I need a 12 Step meeting now.
Visit this location and you’ll fall in love too. Plenty of parking, all handicap needs met, and we parked in the handicapped parking area right at the front door. The bathrooms were clean with a very large wheelchair accessible stall. Yeah, this place checked all the boxes. This was a 12 star experience, but five is all I’m allowed to give. Dang. Yeah,...

Nice people and great food!
Plus, I really like the laid back / higher end, sit down, classy / Mexican cuisine (You know nice restaurant and nice atmosphere, Great food!)
So anyhow, I ordered a shredded beef "Wet" burrito with rice and beans, enchilada sauce on top, sour cream, guacamole and a little bit of Salsa. (Not on the menu / NO PROBLEMA)
I know what you're thinking, and yeah, I'm one of those people that likes what I like and these people are the coolest!
I actually went off the board for extra points and ordered something not on the menu. Yeah, I'm one of THOSE PEOPLE, but I have to say, I may be a pain in the butt, but the waitress didn't miss a beat and hooked me up, without even a second thought. So, she was GREAT and as it turned out, I ended up being the big winner!
Great salsa, great staff and really cool location!
This place is great for sit down, relaxing Mexican Food!
Dress up, dress down, be comfortable or be cool. Bring a date, or sit at the bar, but you can't go wrong if you have an hour or two for dinner tonight. Stop by and enjoy a great meal. Oh and one more thing, try the table side guacamole. Fantastic!
I love being a Californian, we love everyone and let's face it, we have way more fun than the haters outside our lovely little State! BTW, it was a Mexican territory before us whiteys showed up! Let's build a...
