They Hosted UFC 300- short staffed, terrible customer service, serious lack of management presence or care for any level of satisfaction.
The negligence of the managers impacted every level of service for the employees and customers which was very apparent from the severely overwhelmed staff, and no care for customer service!
When we walked In, it was obvious they were busy, but we were quoted approx 30 mins. For a table. The gentleman who greeted us was doing the job of what 3 or 4 people could’ve been doing given the event. He was clearly doing his best, but was so overwhelmed grabbing take out orders, that he completely left the entire walkway of waiting guests and new guests to observe the chaos for easily over 20 mins. We watched empty tables sit empty for over 40 mins, tables needing to be cleaned, and no acknowledgement or support from the managers, I observed what looked like a manager take a picture of all of us at the front (approx 15-20 people waiting) with no communication from anyone. We had finally asked if we could take one of the empty tables after waiting 45 mins as we were next on the list and were told a server would come over to us. She looked at us as if we just sat ourselves and never came to greet us. I had to get our own waters after waiting another 20 mins from the bar. So the craziest part is there is a QR code to order by yourself and don’t even really need a server, but we were originally told there wasn’t a server in the area? As we sat there watching, the other tables around us, in the same area, who were clearly there for the fight, as we were, most of them all finished eating and didn’t really need additional service, was very disappointing to be completely ignored. I had to stop a server to put us on someone’s radar, thankfully, he was very nice and took over to make sure we were taken care of. The managers stood around with their hands in their pockets, no recognition or apologies and no true attempt to organize the mess of the night. Serious lack of planning and preparation for the fight. The dissatisfaction of our experience, and many others as so many just turned and walked out the door due to zero acknowledgement of their arrival, is blamed completely on lazy negligent management!! They could’ve at least made an effort to see the business waiting to come in and it was clear that: building the business, supporting a healthy work culture, and engaging with their guests for an attempt to save the customer service was...
Read moreIf I just want wings I’ll go to wingstop (order online). If I want beer and wings I’ll go to The Draft. If I want wings, beer and sports I’ll go to BDubs. As a national chain it’s usually very consistent. Although the draft does have sports I spend a lot more time drinking and it gets more crowded for things so it’s often harder to enjoy.
I came into liking BDubs through some friends who seemed to really like them and they are from the Midwest. I thought, it’s gotta be better than Hooters. They were right, so I welcomed them with open arms. Aside from some strange locations (Enc, SM on restaurant row) I think it’s a great addition to the somewhat stuffy RR scene.
Parking is shared and minimal, but I like the space sized (a few inches wider than most places). I like the location of the outdoor patio getting good light and breeze. Inside is the standard BDubs set up and décor. I find the staff to be undertrained. I went when they opened and chalked it up to newly opening, but each time I’ve come since in the following months I haven’t really seen any vast improvement. This is a combination of management and training. It’s not that they aren’t helpful or curious, but just aloof to the needs of the customer. Maybe when my beer is empty and it’s the 1st quarter of a game, come by to ask me if I want another.
I find the food to be slightly below par with other locations. They seem to be pushing drink specials, but the wrong kinds of specials (2 part drinks). Fried mushrooms, meh, queso dip, meh. I’m not coming here on wing special nights, but I feel like the menu is really pidgeon holed. I really like their wings, I find them juicy, consistent, flavorful seasonings (they aren’t marinated before frying, so that flavor is chicken people). I like this place as they go a little ham on the seasonings, probably why I order more beer here, funny how that works. That takeout pack is legit 50 wings, sauces, veggies, a side, naps, not bad. I was not impressed with their burgers/prices or the items under that category. Frankly I’d also stay away from the wraps/po boys. If you aren’t ok with just getting wings then perhaps BDubs is not for you
Games galore, TV’s everywhere. Noobs...
Read moreWent here with my other half on a Friday night about 530/6pm. Place was dead!! Plenty of open tables. We waited for about 10 minutes before someone finally came to the front and asked if we’re dining in. Said yes and was told we’d have to wait 20 minutes for a table. (Mind you there was plenty of seating and most of the staff were standing around talking to each other or on their phones) She then walk away from us and never came back. Another few minutes past and another person came up to us and asked if we’re dining in and we said yes and she said okay let me go clean a table for you. Then came back and took us to a table. We sat down and about 10 minutes later a server finally came. We ordered our drinks and food. And never saw her again until our food was ready. We the. Got out drinks after we got our food and we notice a hair in our food 🤮. Brought it to her attention when she came back with our drinks. She look at us and was like oh and took it. We didn’t see her again until she brought back our food (20 mins) we asked for refills on our drinks and a different person brought them to us. (Mind you we were never check on if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. We asked for a extra plate and napkins and a knife but never got them. As a person that is in the serves industry the was horrible service!! I would at least offered 5 or 10% off the item that had hair in it!!) we also saw a group of staff members just standing around having social hour by the bar. My other half has never been here before and was in the mood for wings and I said this place has good wings and you can watch the Padres too. But honestly I’d rather go somewhere else. Don’t waste your time or money here!!! We...
