Myself and a group of friends all gather each year at Cedar Point. We come from across the country and even had someone fly in from overseas this year. The cabin we stayed in this last time was a deluxe cabin and had 2 bathrooms. It was nice to have 2, but they were both very small. The tub/shower was very tiny. I'm not sure how anyone would take a bath in it, but it was fine for a couple of nights. The cabin included 5 beds, enough for 10 people, as long as you're willing to share.
Now, we had a couple of issues with the process this time after checking in. First, we purchased the package for the Frontier Festival, which included tickets for food in the park. At check-in, we were not given a ticked for the food vouchers, as we had been the previous year. We asked the lady at the desk if the main tickets we got would let us get the vouchers as well. We were told that they would, so we left. After thinking about it, we went back and found out that indeed we had not been given the ticket for the food vouchers. Luckily, we double-checked, rather than finding out after entering the park. Second, while checking under one of the sinks in the bathroom, we found a towel covered in blood. This was very concerning, and we had us searching the rest of the cabin. Luckily, nothing else was found. The matter was taken to the front desk, and they said they would send someone. There was no offer to move to another cabin, and we were told we "might" be able to get a discount (has not happened yet). Someone was quick to come and remove the towel, but they in no way spent enough time to clean the bathroom properly before they left. Otherwise, the cabin was very clean, but how this went overlooked is baffling.
I really do like this location. It's great for groups, a convenient location to the park, and beautiful scenery. However, the lack of knowledge of the front desk, lack of properly cleaning the room, and lack of any true resolution to the situation has soured us a bit on this place. We may be considering different options for our trip next year.
