I am four weeks post-op Mommy Makeover. I had my surgery in Miami, FL and was instructed to begin lymphatic massages as soon as I returned to Atlanta (about a week after surgery). Complying with my surgeon's instructions was easier said than done. After several Google searches, I found a few "chain" massage companies who claimed they could fill my request w/what felt like "lifetime membership/subscriptions"...after listening to several sales pitches I decided to keep looking due to my fear of inexperienced therapist and their high turnover rates. After reading her all star reviews on Yelp, I eventually went to a therapist who practiced with a chiropractor. After being in her office for about 5 minutes, I immediately realized she had no idea what she was talking about..first she told me to wait three weeks and return after my stitches were completely healed. I told her I was confused, considering my surgeon urged me to begin therapy weeks ago. She placed her hand over her mouth as though she was pondering my statement, gave me a look and said "Ok...Jesus is going to help me get you through this"! And she proceeded with a pushing movement on my lower back. I literally jumped off the table and exited the room. No doubt I love Jesus, but the fact is, this woman was contradicting, and had no idea what she was doing...& even worst despite her uncertainties, she was "still" willing to work on me. This is frightening.
Feeling defeated, I stumbled upon Massage Solutions website. The website was quite extensive and it became apparent that everyone who says offer lymphatic massage ARE NOT NECESSARILY trained, educated or specialize in "post-op" lymphatic massage (& after meeting Diane, I clearly understand the difference). From the moment I spoke with Diane over the phone I felt comfortable. She was extremely assuring and did not make feel as though we were involved in a sales transaction. The ambience is very beautiful, calming and relaxing. Diane is so professional and took the time to educate me throughout the entire session.
I have a lot of swelling and am one to retain a water as a norm (even prior to surgery). I have been in so much pain and discomfort due to the amount of areas I had done. I completed my first session yesterday, my second session this afternoon and scheduled for my third tomorrow. I cannot begin to tell you the difference it has made. After my initial session yesterday, for the first time in 4 weeks, I was able to prepare dinner for my family without feeling as though I wanted to die afterwards or take a pain pill (which I am refusing to do). Honestly, I have been sleep deprived for weeks...because after falling asleep, any movement or nightly bathroom breaks have been so painful that I have a difficult time falling back to sleep...therefore my sleep pattern has been very light and interrupted since surgery. Last night was literally the first time I slept the entire night without interruption. I woke up today feeling so rested. I am walking faster than I have been.
Not only does Diane have a beautiful spirit, she is an extremely skilled and caring therapist. I believe there are many people who are uneducated about the need for post surgical care and this therapy is definite MUST if want the best results of your investment, as well as to aid with overall healing. As far as the pricing, she is very accommodating and offers various packages to meet your budget based on your individual needs. I would recommend Massage Solutions to anyone! I am so grateful I found her and definitely feel I am in good hands (no pun intended). I will update later with photos to show my...
Read moreI recently had cosmetic plastic surgery and have been going to Diane for my lymphatic drainage massages per a recommendation from my surgeon. Diane has been nothing short of amazing from her technique, equipment, to the sweet conversation and warm welcome she gives you into her home office. Her space is incredibly CLEAN and COZY! If I could take a nap there all day I would! Since seeing her I have already noticed a ton of progress on my body when it comes to inflammation. I recently had the opportunity to get the same massage from my surgeons office, and let me just say... they were NOT the same. Diane’s pricing and attention to detail on your body and its needs are unmatched. She truly cares about you and your well being and offers her services at the best pricing. Even after I am fully healed from surgery, I plan on coming to see Diane for routine matinence. Thanks, Diane for being so knowledgeable...
Read moreI was recommended by Dr. Wright Jones for post surgical Lymphatic Drainage Massages. My first treatment was two days after my Tummy Tuck, BBL, and Lipo of bra rolls. I have to admit I was terrified by the thought of anyone massaging me so soon after surgery being that I was in soooooo much pain. Ms. Diane was so sweet and pure. Her touch was very gentle and my experience was amazing each time. I recommend that everyone includes massages from her after any surgical procedures. My swelling and pain was reduced dramatically after each session. I can’t imagine what I would’ve been like without her. Her knowledge and professionalism is incredible. Each time I left her office I anticipated my next visit like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting on Santa. These massages were crucial to my healing process. I’m very thankful that my surgeon...
