I went to Daiso Japan because I was told they'd have big wood and cloth hand fans (like the one I was using at the time). They had hand fans but they were instead made of plastic and tissue paper. The atmosphere of the store made me feel dirty and impoverished. I'll never set foot in a Daiso Japan ever again. I'm still repulsed by the memory of that poor people store. Don't get me wrong, I rarely have more than $100 to my name but that store is very in-your-face poor, like a place made for homeless people to shop in. Dai so is Japanese for No. 1. The last time I went, the staff spent so much time socializing I could not get checked in, in any reasonable time due to their socializing.
