See's Candies — Attraction in Santa Barbara

The candy at See's is not cheap, but it is rather amazing. You can build your own box from their selection of freshly made candies or, if you're in a hurry, there are plenty of prepackaged boxes you can grab and go. You can also expect to find a variety of pre-packaged seasonal items. They always have samples of their monthly specials available to try and if you'd like to sample something you've never tried before, chances are they're happy to help.

This particular location has ample, easy-to-access parking. I've been buying candy here for years and everyone who's ever helped me here has been unfailingly polite and helpful, even on the busiest days. We love See's Candies and frequently visit the location in Ventura, but decided to try this location. We were disappointed though, the woman who helped us could use some customer service training. She never greeted us nor did she smile. When my husband said that he did not prefer the sample that she offered, she did not offer another. When I began my order she quickly and impolitely corrected me, never thanked us nor spoke any polite nor unnecessary word to us. Will not visit this particular location again. Very...

I ordered on line just outside the shop. I went up to the window, knocked on the window as was signposted and stepped back behind the barrier. The lady working there decided to yell at me for knocking on the wrong window and proceeded to argue with me that her instructions were clear. The order was not ready and I was told I could cancel on line - could not see how to do that. At least THIS person's idea of customer service is only in her dreams. Will...
