Best Thai Spa — Attraction in Santa Cruz

I really enjoyed this place at first and kept coming back but for some reason my last visit was not that great. I told the massage therapist I just want to focus on taking out my knots since I booked a deep tissue Thai Traditional as I still love the yoga stretches incorporated. I have been carrying a huge knots on my upper traps on the right side. All I got was just the lady stepping on me for 1/2 of my session and oil just lathering up on me with a light touch. She didn’t even do any tissue or focus on the area I told her I needed and even take out any knots. The whole session felt rushed. I felt disappointed at the end since I just felt I only got stepped on, and lathered with oil. I had an allergic reaction to the massage oil or base she used. I asked what do they use and she answered, Biotin” organic which I knew it was not the truth because I know how Biotin smells like and I never have an allergic reaction to it. I have gotten plenty of Thai massage before and usually there will be more deep tissue work to get the knots out that is focused what you want. In this case I just felt like I only got stepped on for 30 min out of my 60 min session instead of focusing on the knots to be taken out. The room was cold and the massage bed was cold. I was cold as they only put 1 towel over you and not drape you with any sheets or provide clothes for you like most Thai places. If clothes are not provided for you then they will have sheets to drape properly and while doing the stretches without feeling too exposed. I tried my best to give it a chance three times but after this I am not coming back as I experience better quality on...

Gigantic wall sized tv is the first thing you see when you enter the space. Then they make you wear other people's dirty shoes. We were put into a room where the door was open alot with the bright glaring lights from the waiting room through it. Inside the room we were getting our massage there was a flashing light tacky thing blinking off all the walls on thru the entire massage. Their touch felt inexperienced, barely stretching us let alone warming up any muscles before laying into them which has caused additional soreness in other places like our inner groin instead of just our backs and necks. Usually thai massage is long melting deepening gliding with their feet and arms and stretching our bodies slowly. Not this, this was short jerky and kinda pinchy at times. Yes they walked on us however they didn't use their feet in any other ways and didn't feel experiened in doing that well.Their skills were sadly lacking. My wofe and I went to Santa Cruz for my birthday weekend. The Santa Cruz beach with a cool breeze and smell of the ocean was all I thought I needed, until my wife found this place! Not only was the location a cool spot, my wife and I were able to have two hours of a relaxing massage for me and deep tissue massage for her. Something neither of us have had in YEARS and something that was MUCH needed for both of us. I would give this place more than five stars if I could!
