Nordstrom — Attraction in Santa Monica

My wife and I went to this store last Saturday around 11:00AM. We were planning on browsing through the mall and the store and not necessarily looking for anything in particular. What we noticed after moving from the first floor to the second In Nordstrom that someone was following us. We could not help but notice that a short, white woman was following us around to every department and aisle we were going into. We went to the third floor and she followed us right into the men’s department, acting as if she was a shopper. As it turned out, the woman was a security person in the store. She was apparently watching us to see if we were thieves! My wife was interested in a scarf that she saw and I in a sport shirt. But, once we realized we were being watched, we started feeling irritated and uncomfortable. We quit browsing shortly after and left the store on the third floor as we were both getting mad on being profiled. Shame on Nordstrom for making us feel so unwelcome and unwanted in the store. My family regularly shops at the Nordstrom in Mission Viejo, CA, but not after this experience; we will not shop at another Nordstrom from here on. I know mall stores are hurting due to online shoppers, and theft is a real issue for them, but there is simply no excuse for treating us the way they did. They made us feel totally unwelcome and I don’t think they deserve to stay in business with...

I had the worst experience at this location last week I went with my sister and friend to return a dress bcuz it ripped ,that girl that helped me was really nice her name is Sara everything went good until we shopped around and we decided to buy some stuff, I asked fora price for a shirt and this time,it was a girl named shawna or something like that she was so rude she didn’t like me asking for a price, y I don’t know , then my sister exchanged a dress and bought a couple shirts and another dress she was not looking at us she said who help u we said the gir name Sara when that girl Sara came to help another costumer this girl shawna told her u come and help this customer cuz I’m gonna go help my costumer,and she throw my clothes with the worst attitude ever she never looked at me she never asked me if I need anything I felt so discriminated why she treated me like that she thought I didn’t had money or what and when I asked to talk to a manager supposedly there was no manager at that time I called the next day and complain about they said they were sorry and that they will let the store manager know cuz she was on vacation she called me on Wednesday and said sorry about that....Nordstrom store it’s not cheap at all and their employees treating costumers like that what a shame they just lost a loyal...

I usually enjoy my shopping experience at any Nordstrom and I had enjoyable experience unroll I overheard a manager in the men's department coaching a new employee on how to profile customers. I lingered around cuz I was interested as to what this idiot was telling the new worker however I was very offended when she began essentially referencing me as someone who isn't worth spending time helping but I must be watched as I was probably there to steal. Her evidence for her conclusion was my "hazy glazed eyes and the clothing I was wearing" the last part I found amazingly ironic and showed how dumb this lady was since I frequently shop at Nordstrom I just so happen to have on a 160 rag and bone t-shirt 300 current Elliot jeans and a 400 Burberry belt. They litteraly had the shirt I was wear on the rack next to this lady while she was using my clothes as evidence of my unworthyness of her time. For me I couldn't care less like I said I usually love shopping at Nordstrom and will go buy the items at any number of other great locations where my business is valued and appreciated however I truly feel bad for the employee she was schooling into the worst most despicable...
