Lumee DIY Santa Monica — Attraction in Santa Monica

Love this place! Ive gone 3 times now, and each time is a better experience than the last! This last visit was the best :) George was incredibly friendly and helpful, and constantly came over to ask if we needed anything, and even gave us lots of helpful tools and tips for our projects.

You first make an appointment, and when you get there, they'll show you an iPad with products/activities you can do, along with plenty of creative displays you can take inspiration from. After they take your order, they'll bring your item while you go out and pick out your unlimited charms and creams! They have lots of cute options, but make sure to get a few charms at a time, or at least the ones you're pretty sure you want, because you'll have to return the ones you don't end up using, and it can get pretty challenging if you end up with a full basket of charms haha. The employees will then help you with a tutorial and then youre on your way to make a masterpiece! When youre done, the employees will box it up for you, and after it dries (3 or so days) you can use it. Phone cases, notebooks, clocks, mirrors... you can even bring an item of your own to decorate!

This place really surprised me. I’ve seen videos on social media before of people at Lumee and the fun/cute things they make, but I never thought I’d have so much fun doing it myself! I was initially so overwhelmed with all of the charms that were available, but I managed to pick enough for my card holder and Polaroid holder. It’s great that you can choose as many charms as you want, it feels like such a great value! The experience itself was well worth the price of each item I made, and to add to that the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful as well!

I was thrilled to discover Lumee on Apple Maps while planning my trip to Santa Monica, as I'd always wanted to try Decoden after seeing it on websites like Pinterest for years.
