Saw a matinee showing of Ready Player One. I've been excited to see it since it came out. I get into the theater sit through the trailers, the movie starts and all of a sudden there's subtitles. I have no idea if there was supposed to be. Didn't know if there was someone with hearing issues in the theater. so I didn't say anything to the people running the counter but if they were there on purpose I would've loved to have known before I spent money to see the movie. Subtitles are very distracting to me and with a movie like Ready Player One which has tons of easter eggs and cameos I missed the majority of them because of this. I think the prices are a bit skewed especially with the new forced donation to the conservation fund. This should be a voluntary fee not included in ticket pricing. Concession pricing is also way too high for the amounts you receive. I also feel they tend to make our business decisions. For example on the second weekend that Captain Marvel was released they decided to move it to the smaller theater putting a lower advertised children's movie in the big theater.
