Sayreville Plaza Shopping Center — Attraction in Sayreville

First let me start off by saying I will never go to this restaurant again when you first walk through the door there is a smell that is encrusted into the very walls and carpet of the establishment which smells like a toilet bowl not to mention the waite staff are very rude when it was time to be seated the hostess put us way in the back on the other side of the restaurant where there was no one there Now one would think oh they're doing this because they must be full on the other side well let me just tell you there were only 4 customers on the other side of the restaurant but we were put in the back.she stated they did not have space do I look like bobo the clown could it have something to do with the color of our skin? The waiter who our order stated he was upset he had to walk to the other side of the restaurant to take our order I just looked at it. but he was a disappointment as well took the order got 3 of them wrong brought us the wrong drinks then tried to charge us for the wrong orders, they need to go back to school to learn more about customer service in order to get a big tip the food definitely was not the best I have had better at other Outbacks, the food was overcooked the steak was rubbery I will never go to this restaurant and I suggest before you go think long and hard when you want to spend your money do you want to spend it on subpar food if that's okay with you then hey go to Outback but if not go someplace else Olive Garden Applebee's Red Lobsters just someplace else if I can give it a...

Sayreville Plaza Shopping Center has been in existence since the late 1950’s, but it underwent several updates over the years and overall appears to be a modern shopping center. There are a few restaurants in the main strip as well as the satellite buildings for McDonald’s and Burger King. Planet Fitness and the Farmers Market by far seem to be the busiest tenants. Unfortunately there are several empty tenants currently, which is a problem many strip malls are dealing with today. I did not see many for-rent signs but I hope that new businesses will come in to keep this place going.

There is ample parking here, but please note some drivers move through the lot fast because there are so many abandoned tenants. There are also no stop signs at the end of the parking aisles, and I witnessed an almost-accident when someone failed to stop leaving one...

I guess I'm rating the Shopping Center itself versus the individual stores? So even though I go here often for the Vietnamese Pho joint and the gym (Planet Fitness) and the fruit store (and I would rate those places I visit as 4 or 5-stars individually), the Plaza itself is 3-stars at best. Not well lit at night. Needs to be repaved. Often there are shopping carts floating around. I guess that's the criteria that you would rate the actual plaza on, right? So the individual merchants are all good or very good but the plaza could use some upkeep so...3-stars. 4/23 EDIT: I was asked by Google to update my review.
