GameStop — Attraction in Scarborough

Got robbed tonight on an Xbox. We were assured probably ten times that we were buying an X-box one S, and spent 280$ to get it. Got home, opened it up…it’s a fricken Xbox series S. Not even close. We confirmed multiple times that this was the Xbox one S, and was told each time that yes it was. Just spent 280$ on nothing. Literally we were sold the opposite of what we asked for. And she confirmed it was the “right one” multiple times. Now im stuck with this thing and have no idea what to do with it. I even wondered why the hell it would cost 280$ but I figured game stop is just expensive. Didn’t realize we were being sold an entirely different game system. That’s false...

Omg....what a ridiculously unintelligent employee. Too busy chatting with her friends. When asked about a game released yesterday her response was to act if we had no clue there was an active shooter? Like yeah...he was found dead Friday...game released Saturday..today is Sunday. Seriously??? She had no clue of the game or any releases. Waste of time to go into these stores. Gamestop is cool, but Tom is GREAT. I had just gotten into my first video game a few months back and he helped me choose what kind of controller to get. Not only was he helpful but effortlessly funny and kind. Today, I purchased a PS5 and even though he was covering a shift for someone (which isn't the most fun thing) he was still so enigmatic and personable. Go there for the video games, come back for the fun...
