Worst management experience in my history of dining out. We have eaten there several times and the wait staff is great, food is usually very good. Yesterday, we stopped in, I ordered the double fried Seafood noodles. The lobster and shrimp were so overcooked I couldn't cut them with the knife provided. I discretely asked told the waiter that it was inedible. I asked if he could replace the pieces of lobster and shrimp, there was also no white sauce as indicated in the menu. He took my entire dish, I ate the two broccoli florets, 3 carrots, and half a scallop that was on my plate. He brought my dish back out, again with severely overcooked lobster and shrimp, on top of that, now the rest of my dish was cold. I told him it was still overcooked and now cold. I asked the manager at the register to please remove the dish from my ticket as it was inedible, she refused telling me they had to cook it twice, so that was not an option. I at first politely told her, they had overcooked it twice, and I shouldn't be expected to pay for inedible food. She again refused, and said all she could do was recook it for me to take away... made no sense, and based on the first two attempts, why would I choose that option, it was cheaper for her to remove it from my ticket. She refused, so I will never eat there again and will tell anyone that asks, to not...
Read moreClean, tasty, Americanized Chinese food. One way to tell how authentic a Chinese restaurant is by trying hot & sour soup. The soup was good, but it lacked a little punch. Everything was good but it lacked a little bit of authentic Chinese flavor. Often, audience determines the taste and that's exactly what it's happening. This restaurant is for the Westernized suburban mild and boring palate! Nothing wrong with that. Mongolian beef was good, but it didn't have much flavor. They could have added a bit more oyster sauce and ginger. The triple crown was probably the best dish we ordered, with chicken, beef and shrimp, but leaned on the boeing side. The beef chow fun was good, but also a bit bland and lacked more beef. The curse of having traveled all over Southeast Asia and tried all kinds of Chinese food from the best, made us crave something more authentic which it doesn't exist in Portland, ME. This restaurant definitely caters to mild Western palate. All the customers were locals. My daughter would love this food. The portion could have been a bit more for the money. Order from the regular menu instead of smaller portion lunch. Overall, clean, healthy, good food with very little MSG which resulted clean taste without any after taste. A good place to visit if you're looking for a mild Western...
Read moreThe food was okay, but overpriced for the lunch portion size. My daughter's "teriyaki beef kid's meal" was supposed to come with veggies, rice and ice cream, but they brought her four teriyaki sticks around an open flame, no sides. She's four years old! My sister's soy pork was impressive in texture if unremarkable in flavor. The service, however, is where they really lost points. The waiter came and asked for our drink orders, but before we could respond, he said he'd be right back and then took off for ten minutes. We ordered our drinks.and meals when he finally came back, and the food and beverages arrived in a reasonably timely manner, but after finishing our meal, waiting first patiently and then impatiently, we finally had to flag down another server to get our check. I never tip the minimum 15%, always at least 20% rounded up to the nearest whole dollar, but I couldn't justify giving this gentleman a penny more than 15%. Meanwhile my very well-behaved 9 month old had wet himself, and I had to take him outside and change him in the trunk of my car, because the bathrooms have no changing stations. We...
