Let me tell you about my experience....I was in the area for an NCAA Region Wrestling Tournament. Families and wrestlers (who were staying next door at the Courtyard Marriott) met there. I traveled 6 hours from NJ to see my son compete so this time together would be limited. I was greeted rudely by TWO hostesses who each told me it would be a 2-3 hour wait for a table of 15. I waited by the door for more families to show to get an idea what our next steps would be. I was told I could not wait by the door. So, we decided to get a table and then wait to see what happened. Within 10 minutes, the other families were able to get a table. I went to the hostess stand and another woman told me I could join them and bring a table over. When I went to do just that, ANOTHER worker (this is 4 people now) told me it was a fire hazard and the whole table would have to move to make us able to sit together. So, I returned to my table. I asked to see the manager who came to the table...he talked over me and didn't listen at all to my experience thus far. He said he would talk to the server and try to do something. We ate, drank, and tipped our waiter CHAD well. NOTHING was done to our bill...not a free appetizer...NOTHING. So, after we finished eating (now keep in mind my son was in the other room at a table I could NOT join). I went to go see him and say goodbye. The server CHAD came up to my husband and son (who went to say goodbye to his dad) and said something about us having trouble with management and that "no means no....are you going to teach your boy that?" This server showed NO respect for a customer after getting a good tip (because his service was fine until this point). I am shocked that my husband didn't say more than for him to enjoy his tip. I have NEVER been so disrespected, treated so poorly EVER!! The hostesses, the two other women (no clue what their job was), manager and server treated us like they didn't want us there from the moment we stepped through the door. I later found out that other families were disrespected as well. Meanwhile the bill for their table was over $700. Why would you not want that kind of business? I have been to breweries all over the east coast and I have never been so poorly treated. I am disgusted....will never buy your beer or go to any of your locations EVER. And, I will tell as many people as I can about this experience...
Read moreWhile staying in the hotel next door, three of us decided to get take away from Sebago Brewing Company, which was next door to the hotel. I've been here one time years ago, and I don't remember being thrilled or disliking it; just a run of the mill place. It was very convenient and we could just walk back to our room and call it a night.
Between the three of us, we purchased a buffalo chicken salad, and two sandwiches. Each selection was $12-$15.
When we got back to the room and opened up the food, everything was lukewarm and the fries and sandwich bread soggy. There was no ketcup in the bag (to be honest, we didn't ask for any). And as we ate, we decided everything was just bland, bland, bland. Even my mother-- the one who self-proclaims that she will eat anything, didn't care for it and tossed it away after making it through only half the salad.
Maybe being in the restaurant adds to the ambience and how much people enjoy things here. After all, the place was hopping! Or maybe we just hit an 'off' night. Or maybe, we took too long to walk from the restaurant to the hotel. I don't know. But we all agreed-- none of us...
Read moreI stopped in Sebago after work on a Thursday; it was moderately busy with an older business crowd. The place was clean, the server was friendly, but the service was on the slower side. I ordered a beer and burger with onion rings. The beer was a brew they make onsite, it was a well-crafted IPA, and the price was a great value ($3 for 22oz). The food on the other hand was another story. I ordered my burger medium-well, and what I got wasn't even close. When I lifted my burger, I began to see the blood literally pour out. I had to set it back on the plate and try to rescue my onion rings that were now soaking in an half inch of blood. I manage to get a few of the dry one onto a napkin so I would have something to eat until the waitress came back over. The onion rings that I did save still had the outer layer of the onion peel still on them, which unfortunately rendered them inedible. By the time the waitress had gotten around to checking on me, I had given up and just asked for the check. After seeing what my plate looked like, I wouldn’t order anything from Sebago that doesn’t come from a...
