My family and I visited and had the worst experience! To start out with, we drove almost 2 hours just to come to Legoland. When we arrived we were told one of the 2 rides was down with no estimated repair time. We were refused a discount and told we could just choose to not buy tickets. Of course we couldn’t really just leave after having driven that far. Of course to not offer a discount when one of only two rides is broken down is completely bogus! Then when we got inside the entire facility was filthy, it looked like it had never been cleaned before! The Lego exhibits were grimy and dusty and the floors looked as though they had never been cleaned ever before. The bathrooms were the worst! There was no toilet paper in most of the stalls although there was plenty on the ground, the toilet seats were covered in urine, and several toilets were overflowing with toilet paper and waste. Even the Lego store itself had copious amounts of legos scattered all over the floor. The building was absolutely freezing to the point you could literally almost see your breath. My husband who is never cold even commented that it was too cold for kids to play in safely and not appropriate. The 4D movie wasn’t very impressive and not all of the features were even working. At the build your own car station most of the axel pieces were bent to the point you couldn’t even use them to make a car go. Crucial Lego pieces to assemble the wheels weren’t even present at all. Kids were climbing up the ramp to test cars on in the presence of employees so you couldn’t even try to test your cars out and none of the employees could be bothered to say anything to anyone. The snack shop closed more than an hour and a half prior to the facility closing with no warning. My toddler was hungry and thirsty and we were told we couldn’t even carry anything in or come and go to have a snack. In the pirate play area there were older kids throwing the large legos as hard as they could all over the place in front of the employees. Yes their parents should have stopped them but so should have the employees. Someone could very easily have been hurt, especially so close to the toddler play area. My son and I both almost got hurt and I am 7 month pregnant. We were put in harms way multiple times and also denied the ability to eat and drink which I need to do for medical reasons. My entire family is very into legos and I would’ve expected much better of an experience from a facility associated with lego. To add on, the Legoland customer service portion of the website has been down for a month plus now so you can’t even contact anyone to complain about or report issues to,...
Read moreDisappointment is an understatement. This is a glorified play scape that you would see in the mall.
Family of 6 with 3 kids 7-3 years old. We spent $136 and I was completely taken aback by the whole experience. No wait to enter, we went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t too many kids. For a Saturday I think it was what I expected.
For starters, the Chicago displays are brilliantly done. They’re very beautiful and amazing to look at. However, some of the sound and light buttons were not working which takes away from the exhibit.
The kids enjoyed the areas where they can build something with legos. There are only 2 of those.
The 4D movie is fun.
That’s the end of the good experience. The ride for GA wasn’t working and this was never disclosed before making the purchase on site. Imagine having to explain to 3 kids that the ride we paid for isn’t working.
The playscape looks like it’s hasn’t been cleaned in yearsssssssss. There were also big kids in the toddler area trampling over the babies. So we had to remove my niece from the space for safety. Basically she couldn’t do anything despite us paying full admission.
We ordered drinks from the sbux onsite. My sister asked not to add whip cream and the cashier asked her “why?” Instead of honoring the request. After waiting nearly 10 mins, although we were the only customers she received a drink with whip cream. When we set down, the dirt on the Lego flowers/decor in the Starbucks was so caked out, it grossed me out. If people aren’t cleaning what’s visible, I know for sure the kitchen likely looks like dust bunny hell.
We left after that. Headed to the gift shop where the customer service was reflective of the entire experience.
We requested the engraved Lego souvenir keychains. They clerk said they couldn’t do it because she didn’t know how and “the only person that knew how was on the floor” after a stare down.
We asked that she call the guy to perform the service. We inquired about other brick colors. There were 3, gold, navy and Yoda green. Nothing pink for the girls.
I hate giving bad reviews because experiences are subjective but this was insane. A family would be better off going to a regular park or the play space in the mall. This is not it. Lastly, before writing my review I read others and noticed that complaints about the cleanliness of the establishment has been noted for months yet nothing has changed.

Read moreVery small for costing so much. I definitely understand why they DO NOT allow adults to enter without a child present with them. It unfortunately does not have much for the parents to do but sit and watch or help build legos. I would have been highly disappointed if I was an adult and paid to walk through this location, Trust me. The majority of parents sit and play on phones while the kidos run wild. Basic upstairs and downstairs. I would not recommend to those who have kids over the age of 9-10. There is not much for older kids to do. To start off downstairs, Two rooms to walk through, a VR station That Cost per guest (Very disappointing) a small kid ride that allows you to sit and shoot targets to save a princess ( Cool for younger kids) not so much for older. It last about a minute or so and all my kids complained thier guns did not work when hitting the targets. Once you do those then you move to upstairs. Upstairs has a 4d movie(Only playing in 3D) due to covid. Kids enjoyed it and so did I. Then you have a small room with the "Girl legos"... Move on to a very small cafe, way over priced and you literally have like 3 options for a snack/lunch while there, I believe is was nachos w/ cheese, pretzel, or a small cheese or pep pizza. Unfortunately at 3 when we went for a snack we were informed there was NO CHEESE so they were NOT doing nachos... Then I asked about thr Pizza and they said they had ran out of certain ingredients and was not able to make them. My kids split a plain pretzel with no cheese just to put something in thier belly's. Once ya catch a snack ( If you can) you can then go over to Build a race car with two small ramps to test your masterpieces.... Play in the pirate themed playground, or enjoy oversized legos and a small slide for the 2and under or so. They also have a small ride upstairs Free of charge for the kiddos to enjoy. And, that is all there is to it. ID say this location is more suitable for 2-8 years of age depending on how you child does with sitting and building legos or just running circles in the playground with younger kiddos. ... should look into Cutting back cost. $25 is not bad but for the first time coming but I would have much rather spent the money else where, like kalahari or where all the kids I had could enjoy themselves despite thier age and feeling "Too old...
