Martin Lawrence Galleries — Attraction in Schaumburg Township

I was out with my sister for lunch yesterday, a rainy and gloomy day. Our mother had passed away two days before and we thought to get together and spend a day. We wandered into the Woodfield gallery and were quickly and warmly greeted by Jasmine. Neither my sister nor I are art collectors, critics, or anything more than curious appreciators. We soon discovered that Jasmine has a way of changing that. She has a passion and sense of things that are just quite simply beautiful to all who see them. How refreshing to meet someone who was excited to share with us the wonder of great art, and folks, they have some beautiful paintings there. I may very well go back and buy a painting I am considering. I recently stopped in with my family. We were quickly greeted by one of the gallery assistants. She was very friendly and had what felt like a genuine curiosity as to what interested us and what we were looking for. We mentioned a specific artist and she guided us over to his work. She was very knowledgeable in his artwork. She told us a little about his particular style and his history. She also pointed us to other artists in the gallery and told us a little about each. We had a great time learning about the different artists. We are so happy with this gallery. They offer wonderful pieces and have a great staff. The location is nicely lit and laid out well. It's not over-stimulating with art pieces hanging on top of each other, but it's not bare walls either. We are happy to have stopped by and glad that she helped us with what we were looking for. Loved going in here. I came into the mall not even realizing a place like this existed there. It completely made my day. They had great pieces to view, the staff answered any questions I and despite knowing I was just there to look and not buy they really took their time with sharing information they knew about the artists and really encouraged my interests. The artwork they had varied from old classics to newer "hip" artists like Murakami. It was a great experience that I still look back on fondly and I know I would love to buy from them in the future when I can get the chance.
