BullsEye Axe Throwing Lounge — Local services in Schaumburg Township

I gotta say I’m not a fan of this place. The throwing lanes and the equipment all seemed unkept. I think the owner might be Ron Popeil. You know “Set it and forget it”. If you look at the pictures online It looks like there was turf on the floor. The floor was worn through so badly. When we were there last night that the concrete was exposed and bits of wood were lying everywhere. My brother who has been to other throwing facilities, said that one of the places that he frequent has rubber pellets on the floor, so the axes aren’t hitting metal on concrete. The only staff member that was working there was helpful and nice. He helped us get started and even give us some throwing advice. I was a little surprised that I couldn’t buy a beer at this place. I suppose it’s not a terrible idea not mixing alcohol with throwing weapons. But I wanted a beer while I was doing...

We had a Groupon and it completely oversold this place. We were under the impression that we would have a coach at our station our whole session and also that they would take pictures of us. Neither of those things happened. We had to ask the lone employee for a tutorial as one member of our group never did this before! It was basically a generic second grade version of Axeplosion or Lumberjacks; two similar venues that we had been to previously that we thoroughly enjoyed. The first word to describe this place was unprofessional. To make matters worse, BOTH of their bathrooms were out of order and we were told, nonchalantly, to go across the street to use another company's restroom. Oh man did I have fun. The girl working was super nice and friendly. She deserves a raise. She gives you the basics and then comes back to see how you're doing and gives you pointers. After you get the hang of the axe they have other items to throw too. A machete, which was fun, and more difficult. A heavier axe. A shovel. And other stuff we didn't try. I would total go back. It's on the second story, but they have an elevator. I wish we lived closer, I would go back on a regular basis. They also sell beverages, which, if you sweat (unlike myself, a heart transplant patient) you'll need it. If you're on the fence about going, definitely choose to go!
