Mastermind Escape Games Schaumburg — Attraction in Schaumburg Township

Titanic was a fun Gen 1 type of room. The set was ok with several different Titanic themed older type of props which showed a good effort, but nothing spectacular. There were multiple rooms to explore and all of them were quite spacious. The rooms were clean, yet gave the old time early 1900’s vibe.

Not much tech and a good amount of locks, but puzzles were fun and fairly straightforward. Flow of the game was pretty good as there was some signage for the first sequence of puzzles and then once you completed a puzzle, there was typically a telegram you received which led you towards the next objective. A morse code puzzle was fun to do and then the finale sequence showed older tech, but was neat and created some excitement.

Customer Service at Mastermind (former Odyssey location) was excellent. Everyone we were in contact with was friendly and our GM (Kyle) was extremely enthusiastic and attentive to how we were progressing in the room. He proactively gave us some nudges along the way when we were doubting ourselves or just had a digit wrong in a code due to the puzzle being slightly broken/old. Kyle was fantastic and kept us moving forward with great enthusiasm. Kyle was genuinely excited for us when we escaped and even joked around with us afterwards about a few moments our team had.

Titanic was our 1st game at the new Mastermind owned location (which was previously Odyssey). Overall, pleasantly surprised with how good the customer service was and how much fun we had. We will be going...

My Wife and Daughter and myself were in town for a competition and had some time to kill on a Saturday night, so we decided to check out these escape rooms. This was our first time doing one and we had a great time. The facility was very clean and well kept inside. Monica was our guide for it and she was very cheery and helpful. My daughter got a bit scared at one point due to a couple loud noises and she came on the mic to help reassure her that it was ok. We did the Titanic challenge and it was very challenging but a lot of fun. Unfortunately we went down with the ship and ran out of time. It was such a fun and memorable place to introduce my friends and co-workers to how escape rooms work! My friends were visiting from out of town, and it was their very first escape room experience. Zander made the entire adventure incredibly unique, exciting, and welcoming for everyone. His energy and guidance truly elevated the experience.
