I remember I was in need of sesame seeds for a mole and I stopped by the Seaside Santa Fe store. I stopped by the door to look at the ad. A young lady walked up to me and in Spanish told me 'they' don't 'like' animals in the store, referencing my Service Animal. True she did not have her Service Animal vest, since I had only anticipated filling with gas. I replied that she is a Service Animal. The young lady asked if she was an 'Emotional Support' animal. Again I replied she is a trained Service Animal. The young lady proceeded to ask for the Service Animal Credentials, making a gesture with her hand. I replied she did not need a credential. Then she proceeded to call a Supervisor on her walkie-talkie. I went back to look at the ad. When I was done, I asked if she was refusing us access to the store, she replied 'no' but asked that I wait for the manager. So, indeed she was refusing us access to the store until the Manager spoke to me. Manager arrived and asked if indeed was a Trained Service Animal. I replied yes, that I suffer from anxiety and she is trained to assist me (very expensive training). She is considered the same as a medical device. The manager said ok to allow us in. I mentioned that the young lady asked for credentials and that was not appropriate. I cannot wait until Mi Tierra reopenes. In the meantime I will no longer patronize a store where we are refused entry, received dirty looks and heard her talking about us. I do speak Spanish fluently so I did understand what was being said. There are only two questions that can be asked. She did not ask either of those questions rather asked for credentials. Why assume my Service Animal is an Emotional Support Animal after I told her she is a Service Animal? I only picked up two items but felt very uncomfortable. Mind you I was not rude, belligerent or disrespectful. I was trying to maintain my calm when faced with such ignorance. Tried emailing corporate but only able to locate an email address. Very disappointed. Very...
Read moreI eat there at least once or twice a week. This is a review for 8/26/19. Between 4 -6 p.m. The Place normally good to great but this day, poor service from the coupons they offered with no Product to sell and 2ndly no substitutions allowed. The Taco Bar woefully not clean enough and that area understaffed. Why are they training new employees when the place is a wreck. Let the trainees sweep the floors and clean the tables. I cleaned my own table but they provided the towel. The sauce bar was a mess and had not been cleaned recently. Normally they have the staff to constantly clean the store, tables, floors but not on Sunday. Hire more back up staff. P.M. Did a great job as a cook of my Super Burrito however the chips were old. Sante Fe Market. I know you can do better then this even on a Sunday. If you have a big demand for food... Prepare the staff ahead of time. Usually I am impressed on the quality and timeliness of the service. But this day was a failure. Only two stars from Me. I am a constant customer. I will go back and ofc if improvement is made I will compliment the...
Read moreUsually good products but service is terrible. Today there were 16 customers in line. I was number 12. There was one cashier, one. There were several others standing around, but no one to help. Some guy passed and came back like 10 minutes later and opened up another lane.
I told him there were 16 in line. They were also coming from different directions because maintaing 6 feet would have put us in the street. He said well we are low staff. Are you kidding me? It's a pandemic. Tons want to work. He continued to take no responsibility. HE NEVER SAID SORRY or offered an apology.
Guess what? There is something you can do. Get the people standing around to help. I told him I can also go somewhere else that at least cares. Maybe everyone called in sick but the least you could do is say sorry. But if you think that is taking too much responsibility then at least think that you are losing a customer that spends hundreds a week in hard earned money. Maybe that isn't...
