I’m disappointed in the customer service!
We came over and planned to dine in, at the time (middle of the week) there was only a group of people eating at a table and one man only waiting at the register to get his food to go. There wasn’t a single person at the register so we we all waited for a cashier to come over and take our orders. Finally 10min later a man showed up from the back and gave the customer in front of us his bag and after another 10min of being at the register, he was finally able to print the receipt.
The cashier saw us waiting there, it’s not like he didn’t notice that there were people standing in front of him for over 20min. Once the customer left, one of the guys at the table stood up and cut in front of us asking for the receipt. The cashier completely IGNORED that we were standing there waiting for out turn and immediately worked on the other customer. It took him 15min to print his receipt!!!!
He didn’t apologize or anything, if that’s how you treat your customers then this place will be a hard no for us. On top of that, the food was mediocre, definitely NOT worth the...
Read moreSmall little restaurant. Staff was great...very short staffed, yet eager to help make sure your experience is good. As for the food...well, there were a few misses...but also some really great hits!
The misses...their beans were basic. Nothing to exciting but definitely not bad. Same of their red (Spanish) rice...average. Now mind you...the beans and rice are consistent with most Mexican restaurants or taquerias in the region.
The hits...first off...their table salsa was awesome! You could see the charred bits on the onions, chiles, etc...and even taste the great smokey flavor fire roasting imparts...best salsa I've had. I wish I could buy it by the bottle...I'd put it on everything!
Next was their Birria tacos...super flavorful, full of meat and cheesy goodness...I'll be back again and again for these!
Their mole...rich, thick, delicious. I won't go into detail too much because in general mole has wide variance in flavor just like wide variance in recipe...thus, a very subjective taste. For us...one of the better moles we've ever had!
Anyway...good little place...big heart...very...
Read moreI wanted to like it. It has good reviews and seemed decent enough. I ordered online and went to pick up my food. I got the chicken chile relleno and a quesadilla. My food wasn’t ready when I went to pick it up but that’s fine. Cool. I waited a bit then received my food, the lady at the front gave me a free soda for waiting which was nice. I’m pretty disappointed the food wasn’t though. My chile relleno was small, had no chicken, and they smothered half of it with beans and also gave me even more beans on the side. (No rice as they were out so I got plain unsalted fries) I’m pretty sure it was microwaved too, it was watery and hard to even cut. I ended up eating the small pepper in one bite and was left with all breading and beans. Just not want I’d expect for 18$. The quesadilla was pretty mid too. Not even cut into sections and burnt on the bottom. Cold too. Salsa had no flavor along with the beans. Just really disappointed. I guess seaside has no authentic mexican food. Maybe the tacos are what’s good here. But this wasn’t worth...
