I'm remodeling on property in Pebble Beach at the moment, having never been to this Home Depot since I'm from San Jose, I have to tell you the five visits I've had here have all been bad experience. When you first walk in you notice that they're playing acid rock on the overhead music system which is a little bizarre. Asking for help from any of their employees yields are very weird experience and an uncanny feeling. I asked one young man if they had electrical parts to mount a ceiling light, he didn't know but he said he would call somebody, he walked around for 10 minutes with his phone in his hand didn't call for help electrical department until I called him on and said hey get on the PA system and call somebody for electrical, he refused to do it. I'm in the store yesterday there's a line for the self checkout that's 8 or 9 deep and there's two gals standing next to a cash register just talking having a good old time and came over I said hey are you open and she immediately turned around and looked at me as if I was bothering her and said oh, the lines over there, then she turned around and went back to talking to her friend. Just standing there having a good old time couldn't be bothered. I don't know who the store manager is for this operation but there's a very negative weird vibe here. I mentioned to the homeowner I'm working for my weird experience at Home Depot he said oh yeah we never shop there, we go to Salinas and hit the Lowe's because they're very friendly, I got a better selection of product that seems to be higher quality and it's a much better experience. He shared with me he ordered some fluorine from Home Depot it took weeks to get it in, when the order finally came in it was wrong, he ended up getting upset and going to Lowe's, validating my experience, so it's not just me.

As far as buying windows from them…I replaced all my windows and sliders with Simonton $$$$ windows thru Home Depot, Seaside. I noticed that there was a puncture inside the seal between the two pieces of insulated glass on a slider. HD sales person said to take it up with Simonton in September 2022. I filed an online claim since this is a factory defect which the people installing should have caught. Weeks went by and I finally heard from someone requesting more info which I provided. Weeks (Month) later they told me they ordered a part number. Last February ‘23 HD installers came out and fixed one half of a slider. He Inspected the rest and found 2 more punctured windows (factory defects). Came out a month ago, Oct ‘23 and fixed one window and did a botched up job. Reused broken framing material leaving huge gaps. Called them yet again and said they would order the part (of course..) and send someone out to fix it. It is now 11/23 and these issues still have not been fixed. HD window installer and Simonton have been a nightmare.

Always enjoy my visits to home depot. Recently I was researching material for remodeling my walk-in shower. Prices are fair and even cheaper on tile when I compared with another local supplier. However, the variety is lacking compared to a stand along tile/floor store. Difficult to compare the two since one specializes in tiles. Either way, I've conquered many projects with home depot supplies and will continue to do so in the future. Also, the employees are super helpful. I love many things about Home Depot, but two important ones for me is that returns are super easy and they offer a 10% military discount.

The worst contracting and customer services of all times. They wasted my money, time and left the projects unfinished. Their management are more supportive of their subcontracting companies and staff and deceive, bluff, lie and scam customers. Here is the detail of my experience with the HOME DEPOT:

Project: Flooring installation. Initially, I requested for a measurement on September 6, 2017. I was scheduled on the 20th of the same month for measurement.

We had given the landlord a notice of evacuation for the 30th of September. However, the manager of the sub-contractor-JW Flooring, offered me three days for the project between 19th and 23rd of October, 2017. We both agreed on that date. I extended our stay at the apartment for the next 21 days, due to the fact that our house was not ready to move in to. We waited for the 20th of October. We had planned everything around that date. The installer arrived at the property at 10 o'clock in the morning. He started working on the lamination. At 1300 hours (1 O'clock), I visited the property, met him. He was doing okay and mentioned no issues. At, 1:34 pm, I received a call from the office of JW Flooring informing me of an issue with the door that needed to be cut by a quarter of an inch. I contacted the installer at the property for suggested adjustments. I talked to another for cutting the door, who arrived there in over an hour. I called back the installer to update him about the plan. However, he did not pick up my phone. I got to the property and saw the installer had disappeared from the scene leaving the job exactly there, where I had seen it at 1 o'clock. He had dismantled my gas heater and left it that way. He had not cleaned the mess that he had created due to leveling the concrete floor.

I contacted Home Depot, Seaside and informed them of the situation. The associate on duty, (J*h) after contacting JW, told me there would be someone to complete the job by next day, as the installation was scheduled for two days. The next day, I waited for an installer to finish the job. However, nobody showed up. I contacted Home Depot store and talked to the manager, Mr. Mi**. They offered us a reschedule. It meant, to keep punishing us for their own unprofessional business. We had waited for it for more than a month. We had extended our stay at our apartment and had paid extra month rent. It was complete unprofessional behavior on part of the company. I disagreed and asked the manager, I would go ahead with any reschedule on a condition that the company must be penalized for their UN-professionalism. The manger told me he'd work out something on it. Later on, Assistant manger with the name Iza**, talked to me and promised me he'd take care of a compensation after the job is done. So, I agreed to keep working with them.

An installer arrived and finished his part of the job on the rescheduled date. However, he left the the space uncovered where the laminate joined the carpet at the hallway. He told me somebody will show up to finish this job on the next Monday. However, it is still not covered. Nobody showed up. Nobody is calling me, nobody is responding to my calls. Nobody accepted the responsibility. It was only me and my family who suffered due to the non professional business on part of the Home Depot local management and their contracting company. Currently, my gas heater that the first installer had dismantled is out of order. The point where the laminate joins the carpet is lose and consequently ripping. No promise of any sort of compensation has...

Despite all the good reviews given to this store,I do not find anything positive to base this review on. Every time I have shopped at Home Depot it has been an unsatisfactory event. As an 81 year old reasonably intelligent woman and one, who is kind, and courteous to people it always amazes me, when a store shows lack of good Customer Service. I have lived alone, a long time and so when I can I take care of items that I can fix around my home, I do it. So, my visit to Home Depot yesterday 7/19/21 was to find a way to use a piece of glass for a table I had purchased. After about 15 minutes or so, of wandering up and down the aisles, an employee saw me and asked if he could be of help. I was delighted, and relieved that someone was going to help me. However, after the employee had shown me to a shelf of goods, where one of the items might work with the glass, his phone rang and he spoke to someone turned to me, and said " I have to help this person" " I will be back" He walked away, and even though I waited for him to come back, he never did. A female employee must have seen me waiting at the shelf and she came over to see what she could do. Her name

came over and helped me-her name was Laura. Laura, was lovely and some of the hurt and even humiliation I had suffered, was negated. Still and all, the male employee's behavior, only added to my feeling of disdain for this store. Home Depot, clearly does not need me as a customer but I hope that my comments are of some value, and will be noticed. Home Depot sells merchandise, that is important to the building of homes, and what can be more important than that. However, they are failing in my opinion, to do what is so rudimentary- take care of all customers and in doing so, make them feel worthwhile, and important to their business. In passing I need to mention I saw another customer (a man with lumber) shout at an employee about something he found unfair. He said "I have spent thousands of dollars in this store" He was clearly very upset. It was a telling scene and somehow made me feel vindicated, and all the more determined to write this review. Something for employees and their managers to ponder on: One day in the late 1950's an old woman dressed very simply in black, entered a very famous and upscale New Your Department Store. As she approached the counter, the sales clerk saw her and said "Madam, the bargain items are in the basement" The woman did not say anything but just left the floor. About 5 minutes later, the phone on the sales clerk's counter rang: It was the manager of the store and he said in a very angry voice "Miss Thompson you just sent the mother of the man who owns this store, to the Bargain Basement" There has to be a lesson in all of this. That sales clerk had no consideration at all for the woman in black; thought that she was poor and not even worthy of her attention. She instead dismissed her to the Bargain Basement. Customer Service is not just about efficiency and good service it is about caring and...

I went in last night and bought a Milwaukee inspection camera. The total was $130.01 and I handed him $150.00. I was surprised when he didnt just hand me a twenty but then he started counting out quarters. He hands me a ten a five and a one . Then two dollars in quarters and 99 cents. Are you serious I asked? He said something about an audit and at that point I was over it. Thanks Home Depot. Nice friendly service. I simply needed someone to bring down a bundle of lumber from the upper tier. I asked the nearest employee. He said sure. I continued shopping and returned to find nothing changed. I found the guy and he tells me he is a delivery guy "sorry" and walks away. Ive been waiting 30 minutes so far. I go to service counter and she calls the lumber guy. He eventually made his way to the location only to start questioning me on why i wanted these boards not the other ones on the floor. I said these are 1x6 and i want 1x4. He says "oh there is 2 piles in front of the store " I said i know i saw the dried warped boards as i walked in and thought who would buy that. Its terrible advertising. i am now into this for close to 50 minutes and this guy is refusing to get the wood down for me. I said i was there earlier and would like more of the same matching boards. He refuses. So i return to the service desk to speak with a manager. Finally one comes out . He casually meanders towards me as he is talking and laughing with another employee. As soon as he approaches me his attitude shifts. Now he is stone faced with a blank stare. Doesn't ask me how i am or if he can help. No apology nothing. Rather he complains to me about how he was interrupted from doing whatever it was that he does. After a hour and a half i am now waiting for a cart with my wood to arrive at the front where i was asked to wait. i watched them load up the boards . Placing all the dented and ruined by the straps at the bottom so that i would miss them. If the incompetence wasn't bad enough the attitude and lack of common knowledge made up for it. I had to throw in the towel and just walk away. I was not going to get what i wanted. 120 clean boards. From top to bottom this establishment is pathetic. Its manager is more defensive and confrontational than helpful. Snapping at me saying "120 boards wont fit on one cart" then bringing up one cart with 120 boards.. Just a complete disaster and it could have easily been resolved at many points if not completely avoided if they hired people who valued their customers. Other than that same...
