I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while now. I came in with a buddy of mine for a quick lunch. We were greeted by a young woman in two long braids, she was great but our server (manager I’m assuming) was rude. She did not smile once. She looked like she did not want to be there. We ordered a Mariscada and a burrito. Let me start with the drinks. We got two beers. Both came with a shrimp and a lime. The presentation… GREAT! I went to grab the shrimp… why was it SLIMY?!? Plus the Odor ... Instantly no. Then the food came. God yes it gets worse. The Mariscada is priced at over $30. It was extremely salty. I tasted the sauce on it and I was not impressed. Since I got the beer I saw the condition of their seafood and knew it was not edible. My buddy said his burrito had no taste. The tortilla was cold and hard. Our server came to drop off the check that’s all. The younger employee ran the whole show. She smiled the whole time even though they were rushing back and forth. She checked on our table a few times and noticed I didn’t touch my food. She even asked if she could switch it for something else. She apologized although it wasn’t her fault and on top of it we could not tip her personally!! She said tips get divided between servers. Sadly I made the choice to not tip well. Not when the other person gets credit for someone else’s hard work. Only reason why I’m giving this a 5 star on service is because of that employee. The food was very disappointing. I will not be returning....
Read moreWOW !!! What a great place. Went New Years day for dinner and the place was packed. Waited about 25 minutes to be seated but it was worth it and then some. Got to see many different menu items go by and everything looked phenomenal. Ordered the 7 Mares and it was awesome. A great lightly spiced sea food broth that was filled with mussels, shrimp, clams, snapper, tender octopus, baby scallops, a white fish, possibly sea bass and chunks of avocado. I inhaled it. One of the best I've ever had. My son ordered the garlic prawns. 4 large in the shell prawns with a great but not overpowering garlicky sauce, rice instead of fries and creamy refried beans. He really enjoyed it. This will be a favorite go to for us from this point forward. If you enjoy really fresh seafood done perfectly, this is the place. You won't be...
Read moreWe were staying at a hotel in Seaside & were looking at our dinner options. We looked up local places for Mexican food & saw this place was highly rated & right down the street from our hotel. When we arrived we were quickly greeted & seated. Our drink orders were taken immediately & food orders shortly thereafter. The taqueria was not real big, and very casual, which was ok with us. There was outside seating available. The pleasant surprise was the food. We ordered a fish taco, ceviche tostada, and a combination plate with a tamal, enchilada & taco. The food was delicious & the servings were big. The great service was just a bonus. We made a great choice.Take a chance & give it a try. You will enjoy your food experience! We will definitely go out of our way to...
