Alaska Air Cargo — Attraction in SeaTac

The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Excellent customer service! I was there to pick up 2 pieces of luggage which I was able to retrieve very quickly and while I was there I was able to purchase their largest dog kennel that they sell for future use at a much more reasonable price then I could find on the internet. And by purchasing from them it will guarantee the dog kennel meets Alaska airlines standards. I happen to be fortunate that they so happened to have one in stock as they mentioned that they sell out of them rather quickly so I would call ahead. And because you must assemble the kennel I would purchase at least 1-2 days prior to travel, keeping in mind that you will need to purchase bedding for the bottom of the kennel and a water/food feeder. They had water/feeders on site available that would work for a very small dog that is maybe 20 pounds or less, but...

I absolutely love this Airline. I shipped two puppies from Sea-Tac Airport to Sacramento Airport. They were incredibly patient with me super sweet to the dogs it was a great price. I was a comedy of errors. I basically tripped all over myself. I accidentally gave them an extra health certificate. I was shipping two puppies and they were on one health certificate and I was meeting an owner who is picking up their puppy from San Jose also Alaska Airlines and she had a separate health certificate. I accidentally gave them both Health certificates I went back and they take copies of the health certificate and we laughed about it and they were so kind and so nice. I only fly through Alaska if I can help it and I definitely only deal with Alaska Airlines when it comes to my Havanese dogs. I would give them 100 Stars if I could....

I Gold Streaked a forklift starter to Klawock, Alaska. The machine was down and costing us $1000.00 a day. The package was clearly marked on all 6 sides, ( attn: air freight, transfer to Island Air for shipment to Klawock in BOLD LETTERING !) The local phone contact number was also written on all 6 sides. So when it got to Alaska Air Freight in Ketchikan they held onto it because they didn't know what to do with it because it didn't specify on the airwaybill. They had it in hand reading out ( transfer to Island Air ) and they read it back over the phone and stated, they didn't know what to do ! This is the 4th time this has happened in the last 2 years and they are just now telling us to state the transfer information on the airway...
