OUR EXPERIENCE SUCKED. REAL REVIEW. PLEASE READ! NOT WORTH THE MONEY, NOT SCARED AT ALL! THIS I GOOD FOR KIDS 10 YEARS OLD AND YOUNGER. FIRST off the they RUSH GROUPS IN too close to one another so once you are in there you are bunched up with the group in front of you and the group behind catches up within feet of going in, taking the “scare factor completely away”. YOU NEVER GET SCARED WHEN YOU ALREADY SEE WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN 6 PEOPLE AHEAD OF YOU. It just takes the entire experience away by trying to RUSH the customers through. Oh and this haunted morgue is way too small and short for the price they charge. SECOND I felt like they were under staffed for actors this year. There were quite a few rooms that were decorated but did not even have 1 actor in that area to “scare you” just lights and walls and a few props oh and a LOT OF BANGING ON THE WALLS. Really we paid how much for VIP tickets and we don’t even get actors to scare us?? It was a lot of noise that was about it. THIRD there was a kid in the group in front of us probably 12 years old and he had his “go pro” on his head when they were standing in line in front of us, someone outside told him no videoing so he took it off his head and had it in his hand. Where else is he going to put it in the trash? Almost every single actor stopped him while going through the haunted morgue saying “NO VIDEOING” over and over again. HE WAS NOT RECORDNING and even if that 12 year old was recording what do you think he was going to do share your secrets with the world?? Once again the actors stopping to tell a 12 year old to not record took the scare away and ruining for the group behind them; YEA OUR GROUP since we were all bunched up inside behind them. This years’ experience was the worst and a TOTAL WASTE of our money! For VIP tickets for our family this year is was $200 down the drain. The experience was mediocre, the acting was not even that great, and you needed at least 20+ more actors to make this place even worth the money to attend. This haunted morgue was WAY better about 5 years ago? Not sure what changed but our family will never be spending our money here again. I scare EASY and this was a joke to me; that says a lot in...

Had high expectations for Georgetown Morgue, especially given the steep price of nerely $200 for four people. Despite arriving 2 hours before doors opened, the experience was a waste of time. This place failed the concept of being a Haunted Attraction. VIP or Front Door Now let's you jump the line, but you'll be disapointed once you're inside - you just get to experience disappointment faster than everyone else. 😅
The first major let down was the wait time. My group arrived at 5pm, doors opened early at 645pm. We entered the building at 715pm. Once inside, we were met with yet ANOTHER LINE inside of the attraction, completely detracting from the haunted experience we had anticipated.
The crowdedness inside was unbearable. We were packed like sardines, which completely ruined any potential for scares or surprises. Instead of feeling immersed in a terrifying world, we were stuck in a slow-moving line, merely chatting and waiting for our turn to move.
The predictability of the scares was another disappointment. Due to the close proximity of the guests, any element of surprise was lost as people passed down information about upcoming scares. This turned what should have been a fear-inducing experience into a mundane and frustrating one.
Even the actors seemed to give up on trying to scare us, as there was simply no point. We all just stood there, waiting for the line to inch forward.
The decorations, actors, and setup may have been top-notch, but they did little to salvage the experience. The purpose of a haunted house is to provide scares and surprises, and this event failed on that promise.
All in all, I would not recommend this attraction to anyone looking for a truly terrifying experience. Save your money and time, and look elsewhere for your Halloween scares.
Most of all, arrive 2 hours early or be prepared to wait in excess of four hours. The line wrapped around the building by 600pm, doors...
Read moreWe decided to go on a Sunday night around 8pm thinking there might be less of a rush which was a big no. We arrived and were directed to the parking lot which was free to park and then saw the huge line that was all along the street and wrapped past the end of the building. We asked how long it would take to the parking attendant and he said the line was looking at 1.5hrs YIKES! We decided to come back after an hour and come close to closing thinking the rush might die down but nope even after 9:30pm the line was still standing where we had left it. We then opted for the VIP line experience which got you to the front of the line for $40pp on Sunday and Thursday nights. Regularly VIP tickets are $50 per person the rest of the nights and $25 for regular admission. If you bring 3 cans of food you also get a few dollars off. The experience was amazzzzing and all the rooms and actors were so carefully crafted and decorated with such detail! I especially loved the part where you have to squeeze through the floating water I think it was and there is a witch trying it get you on the sides. Eeeek but definately a good exhilirating experience. Depending on how fast you walk it will take you about 7-15mins in total to walk through the entire haunted house which is all covered. The waiting line however is only covered closer to the entrance so come prepared with rain boots and jackets.
They also had a few food trucks and some fires going where you can get toasty. Overall, I loved the whole experience. It was of course expensive for $40pp for a 10min walk through but if you don't want to wait in the 1.5hr line I would highly suggest VIP because we literally waited only 2mins and were let in right away. They also took our pics with a scary nun lady before entering and were selling pics for $10 each or 2 for $15 which I thought should have been included for VIP tickets since we are already paying so much or atleast have a...
