Lovely! Nicest people in any neighborhood in Seattle that I've ever encountered in my two decades living here. I suppose if I lived on the water and one of those beautiful little houses and could afford to call Madison my home I'd be in a good mood all the time too LOL. The only complaint I have is the restrictions imposed by the lifeguards on the beach and water access. They have ropes dictating where the Lifeguard oversees, and yet even if you're beyond those ropes at your own risk, they will tell you what you can and can't do, aaaand you pretty much can't do anything LOL. Additionally, when I was still learning to become a stronger swimmer, they would not let me use a life vest or a pool noodle when I wanted to swim the short distance out to the dock with diving board. Their rationale was that, "if I wasn't a strong enough swimmer to get there without it, I shouldn't and couldn't make the Trek with it because it was a "safety hazard" to others in the water somehow??? However, when I went swimming without those things and made it to the little dock with the diving board, I was definitely in more peril when the other lifeguard in his little rowboat bonked me in the head as he rowed OVER me on his watch without even noticing me. Lol!! I get that you could accidentally drown someone if you are on a big giant inflatable Swan and they got stuck under you. But how is a pool noodle or a life vest going to hurt anyone or make their job anything but easier? And how is having a much larger tin rowboat in that very same small swimming section any less...

I visited Madison Park Beach on August 9th, 2024. I rode my scooter from the city area near Pike Place Market, which took about 30 minutes to reach the beach. Although I went alone and only stayed for about 15 minutes, it was easy to see that this place would be a lot of fun if youโre traveling with friends or family.
There were people swimming in the pools, and there were also diving boards available. While the beach itself is lovely, there isnโt a great sunset view since the sun sets in the opposite direction. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of Mount Rainier, but unfortunately, it wasnโt visible during...

I think I pulled a back muscle but it was a BLAST ๐ ๐๐. I kept going off again and again and again feeling like a little kid ๐ฆ ** Took swim ๐ here today early morning ๐- saw seaplane landing on the water. Dived off diving board ๐ . Why isn't high-dive open ๐? Water is clean & clear. Perfect swim temp in July. Swimming is my exercise - sometimes I will tread water for 45...
