I have been going to the restaurant for a few years since it opened. Last night was the worst experience I probably have had in a restaurant in a very long time, so much so that I decided to leave a review. They was a new staff and a new bartender, which was very rude to us. I alway order the cocktail that they used to have in the menu called Chupacabra, which they normally make for me no problem. This time the bartender refused to make it pretending they were missing one of the ingredients. Then they start to be very difficult about making small modifications to their drinks, we were just asking to put gin in a drink that was made with vodka. We got a drink to the table and it had a hair in it (that belonged to the bartender) and because the waitress was busy at the time and the drinks were taking forever we brought it directly to the bartender that very rudely told my friend that he didn’t want talk to us and we had to talk to the waitress. The drink they brought after had a fly in it and when we reported it out, they said that there was a piece of the lemon. It had a fly in it!!! After that, the manager came over to take our order because our waitress was busy and he was extremely rude. The food was terrible and of course we couldn’t speak up at that point because of the better experience with the drinks we didn’t wanna be that kind of customer. The food was below mediocre, the carpaccio was so salty, the pastas tasted terrible (gnocchi undercooked, if that is even possible), and the bread, which is their signature dish is served as a smaller portion with the same price. If I have to spend $100 a person to have one shareable plate and some drinks, I want to make sure that the food is good and the service is exceptional ! It was extremely disappointing because I know how good that restaurant could be and used to be. I never leave bad reviews, but this time it was really needed, and I almost hope for the owner to reach out to me because if they keep treating people like that, overcharge for bad food and send people home hungry and mistreated, they are going lose business.

Bad service!!! Bad food!!! Rude staff And so super...

TLDR: wasn't seated on time for reservation, service was bad, food was incredibly expensive and all overcooked/undercooked/unsalted/bland or straight up didn't have the ingredient it claimed.

Terrible experience. I reserved a 9 PM spot at the restaurant for four on Saturday, but didn't get seated until 9:20. Not the worst thing but a bad start

Once we were seated, we quickly ordered drinks. The Beehive was great, but the Bartender's special was a non-alcoholic drink that they said they could make alcoholic, and it genuinely just tasted like rum and water. The waitress wasn't particularly professional, not what I would expect from a restaurant at this price point.

We ordered the Carpaccio, which was completely unsalted, truly, not a single touch of salt on it, incredibly bland (It was salted the one other time we came here). I asked for salt and the waitress forgot to bring it. She did finally end up bringing it when I saw her again and asked again, but at that point, we were done with our other appetizer and ready to move on. We also got the sourdough bread but the butter that came with it tasted like nothing, not even worth the calories.

One of us ordered the halibut appetizer and it was fine, but everything else was, once again, pretty bad. They were out of the one of the pastas, and considering how this is a pasta place with literally 5 options, that eliminated 20% of the options. How do you run of your one of your five offerings? On a Saturday? The Hanger Steak was overcooked, the middle was a light pink, so it definitely wasn't medium-rare, and it was 38 dollars for 4 tiny pieces of meat. The Strozzapretti was undercooked, really took al dente to the next level. It was also bland and we ended up using the salt I asked for to make it edible. The Spaghetti Nero was the real kicker because I got it since it had anchovies in it. Once it arrived, I couldn't see a single anchovy. We ended up asking the waitress if there was supposed to be anchovies in it and we were informed that no, there are no anchovies in it. There's anchovy paste in it, and you can't taste it at all. We didn't end up staying...

Very good food, but not perfect. We tried nearly everything on the dinner menu, and I'll do a short list of what we had and the reviews on each of the dishes: The seawolf sourdough was tasty, really good quality bread charred on the grill. The mixed baby lettuces were absolutely divine, super fresh and tender. The dressing was also just so fresh and tasty. The smoked cauliflower I could honestly take or leave, but it was smokey and pretty tasty if a little plain. The chicken liver mouse was also tasty, the pear/shallot jam was also stunning. The ahi tuna crudo was delicious, I could take it or leave it if I went back if I'm being honest. The Wagyu carpacio is the best I've had outside of Italy. Enough said. The yeasted polenta fritters were a hit with the table, but they were very very yeasty, so if that's not your thing I'd stay away. The king salmon was truly the star of the show. Perfectly cooked fresh caught salmon and beautifully browned mustard greens with small spicy peper rings and bell peppers, oh lord. The skin was even perfectly cooked. Stunning plate of food. The potato gnocchi was ok. The elk ragu tasted strangly like hamburger helper and the gnocchi were too dense and tasted like little balls of mashed potatoes. If you like how that sounds go for it but I wouldn't order it again. The Ravioli was tasty, but a tad underfilled and undercooked. The sauce was delicious and the fresh peas and fried artichoke hearts were quite tasty though. The Carrot Cake was amazing. Not going to spoil the suprise, but it's unlike any carrot cake you've ever had and it's perfect. The cookie and cremeux were awesome. The cookie was a bit firm but the mousse was light and fluffy, and yet somehow richer then any mousse I've had before. The canoli was ok. Not my thing, but if you like the deep-fried Italian style of canoli you'll love it. All in all, amazing food and decent service. Some of the food was a bit hit or miss, and being objective about that fact is important. I hope you do visit, because as a restaurant it is quite amazing. 4.3...
