The Independent Pizzeria: A Gem in Madison Park I recently discovered The Independent Pizzeria in Madison Park and was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Their pizzas are big on flavor and quality. A Quick Tip: Order Ahead! Keep in mind that they only make pizzas until they run out, so it's best to order ahead. I placed my order around 4:30 PM and picked it up at 6:30 PM, and it was well worth the wait. Exceptional Service and Delicious Pizza: The customer service was top-notch. My son and I were greeted warmly upon arrival and the pizza was hot and fresh, straight out of the oven. The tomato sauce was flavorful and had a fresh tomato taste, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the pepperoni was some of the best I've had in a very long time. I especially enjoyed the unique sausage, which was sliced like pepperoni and had a great flavor. While the crust was a bit soft on the bottom, it was still delicious and I'd only take off a half-star for that as the outside crust was cooked perfectly. Overall, I would highly recommend The Independent Pizzeria for a delicious and satisfying pizza experience. With its friendly service, quality ingredients, and flavorful pizzas, it's definitely worth a visit.

I love pizza, and this is my favorite pizza in Seattle. We always have the oven on when doing takeout to put the pizza in right away because it’s best enjoyed hot and fresh. We had the New Haven this time again and it’s legit so good. I also HAVE to mention their sides. The Caesar salad and the bread that comes with it. Holy mackerel. Again it’s the best Caesar salad I’ve had in Seattle and they bread is insane next level stuff. Lastly, I mention the tiramisu. I hate to sound like a broken record but it’s the best I’ve had in Seattle. Generous portion (good because it’s pricey). I’m always blown away by Independent Pizzeria. Highly highly recommend.

It’s a shame the pizza is good. It gives the staff an excuse to fall into the horrible service/“I’m doing you a favor by selling you food” attitude that is all too common in seattle SERVICE industry. You wanna lower your price? Great, talk to me to like a bag of dirt, all good. If you’re selling a premium product it can’t just be the food(pizza, cause the salad was like a tiny handful of greens for an outrageous price).

Also it is the most unreliable pizza place place around. Some days they are open, some they are closed. There seems to be no schedule. I get it- Indy pizza… but also annoying. It is also unreliable because maybe they have pizza (the one thing they base their whole business on) maybe they don’t…. One does not know until you somehow contact them or look at their IG to see if they sold out. Some days they ‘sell out’ before they open from online orders… it’s pretty rad if you’re the one making money from the pizza. But dang, warning to all, do not make plans around this establishment. It is as flakey as many of those who reside in this city (I’m a life long seattleite).

I wish you gave just a few more f$&ks Indy Pizza and you may have kept one of your long time patrons but I’m just...

After walking past this place on numerous occasions-it's always bustling!-we finally stopped to sit and grab a bite. There was no wait this Sunday night and we opted to sit at the bar. There is a brick oven that you can see as you take a seat there. My eyes were drawn to the fresh dough, handled with care and precision, and the steady flow of pizzas with crispy crusts flowing out of the kitchen right to the dining area. The sauce on the pie and the various toppings (I skipped the cheese and added more veggies) were excellent. The staff was very personable and chatted with us as we waited for our meal. We were splendidly surprised ordering dessert...something I don't normally do since my husband and I tend to enjoy more savory foods than sweet. Tiramisu transformed our dinner date to a romantic night that I will remember for a long, long time. The Independent Pizzeria is an exceptional local spot, perfectly situated on the corner adjacent to Madison Beach Park and Lake Washington. ...
