I've been here before with my husband but writing a review now. I brought my boyfriend here when we were bar hopping on Broadway. His Martini which was advertised as tasting like an 'Everything bagel' was spot on šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ He nursed that one 😹 He was talking about how there ought to be 'sampler cocktail' options for when a drink takes a while to finish, but we weren't sure whether that would be time or cost effective (I'm a Mixologist myself). He was just telling me about how Tang was advertised back in the day as a 'Space drink' I guess because the astronauts drank it (don't quote me on that), and then my Tang cocktail came in this super rad space glass! 😹 Loved the star confetti and the mysterious 'stars' ingredient from the description. We were surprised at the small portion of the deviled eggs, but maybe we've just been spoiled by other places who give large portions. The jalapeƱo was underwhelming since it tasted more like bell pepper with a level .5 kick. I understand if they want to keep it 'safe'; we feel that the kick of spice of the jalapeƱo should be part of the experience. Service was a little slow, they checked on us adamantly at first and then pretty much stopped. I could tell they were training someone, but there were times where we would wait longer than 5 minutes for them to even look at us. We were sitting at the bar to expedite service (which usually works), since we were on a schedule. I ended up skipping my last drink because of how long things were taking. We loved how prepped they were for Pride fest/ Pride month 🌈 šŸ³ļøā€šŸŒˆ

Check out the holiday skeleton decoration by the EXIT sign. (Is that a good use of metaphor or what! šŸ˜‰) 2 minute Christmas light show every hour on the hour until December 31st is a fun experience, no tickets or reservations necessary. Love the holiday themed decorations. My fav is the big mouth bass wall plaque with a santa hat. The French fries are thick cut, crispy, warm and creamy on the inside. The house specialty cocktails are just OK. Better to go with a beer or soda. The waitress is very friendly and helpful. I noticed she greeted everyone with a smile and the a "Hi friend..."

I called the Bait Shop because I have allergies to shellfish and soy and the staff were very helpful on the phone checking with the kitchen, soy and shellfish free! When we arrived we were seated quickly our server was so kind, I cannot rave enough about their excellent costumer service. Our food came quite quickly and was absolutely delicious, my fish and chip basket had a few chips that were too crunchy to eat but that won’t deter us from visiting again. Thanks Bait Shop for the great vibe, food, and service.

I bite through a treasured membrane and tear my way screaming. through this incessant dimming of our lights to see something different. torn. i will see something. i will see it as an animal. . . Im guided to a bench under this dim light and delivered options. i take one drink and i bite it i bite this drink as an animal, this is a place where animals are this is a place animals use their teeth . . the bartender talks to me and i tell her about the past. i have been wrapped in mirrors and left alone this is the future, a mirror is. a future where i can be an animal and do those vile things. . . i take another drink and this one i breath it vile thing. carbohydrates are ideal and sweet. thats refreshing, the animal i am takes it apart and puts it together and so on. i like that. i like the way the last of the mirror peels away from me and even though the lights are dimmed i can finally see you . . i bite at my arms and i bite at my legs and i watch your gaze as it scans over me. i stroke at that membrane and wonder what it was meant to keep fresh while we talk over...

This was me and my boyfriend’s first time trying any seafood in the area as we just moved to Seattle from the East Coast! We’ve really enjoyed all of the different kinds of food we’ve be able to explore here thus far…until we tried Bait Shop.

We ordered through UberEats and got the Fish & Chips with a couple of sauces/condiments on the side and everything arrived on time. First impressions of the food was that it looked absolutely amazing! It came with two pieces of fried fish, fries and a lemon on the side. So we dug in right away!

I tried the fries first, as I always do, and the fries were cooked and salted perfectly! Next was the fish. I bit in and the crisp/crunch on the outside was really great but what followed was nothing. I didn’t taste much of anything but the breading and the texture of the fish itself. It was unseasoned and didn’t taste fresh at all.

With all of the great reviews we saw, we thought it would be the perfect dinner to end our Friday night but unfortunately...
