I recently switched my service to AT&T, hoping for a smooth experience. While there were some minor hiccups, I didn't pay them much mind. However, last Friday, I visited the store with the intention of purchasing the iPad 12.9. On that day, two workers were present, and one of them assisted me with my purchase. He informed me that they were currently out of stock, but assured me that they would have one sent to me by the beginning of the following week. To secure the order, I paid the $70.00 in taxes as instructed.
When the following week arrived, I did receive an iPad, but to my disappointment, it wasn't the one I had initially inquired about. In response, I promptly returned to the store to address the issue. Upon entering, I recognized one of the workers from that previous Friday. I recounted the situation to him, and he simply stared at me before inquiring about my desired resolution. I expressed my desire to rectify the situation and receive the correct item.
He then informed me that I would need to return the mistakenly received iPad, which was already evident. However, what baffled me was that I would need to pay the tax fees again for the iPad 12.9 – the one I had originally wanted. Perplexed, I asked why I should be charged taxes again for an item I had already paid taxes on. He explained that if I wanted the specific iPad I initially requested, I would have to repay the taxes to proceed with the corrected order. This left me even more bewildered. I questioned the rationale behind paying taxes twice for a mistake that was on their end – they had sent the wrong iPad in the first place.
At this point, the representative labeled my tone as passive-aggressive, which caught me off guard. I was simply a customer, a new one at that, seeking resolution for a mistake made by their team. I had never encountered such treatment before when addressing a legitimate concern. I was merely a customer seeking the product I had ordered. Frustrated and shocked by how I was being treated, I promptly left the store, clutching AT&T's phone number.
During a subsequent call with another AT&T representative, I detailed the entire incident. They assured me that they would investigate the matter, though I harbored doubts about any meaningful action being taken. No customer should ever be subjected to such treatment, and I'm disheartened by this experience. Later, I discovered that this particular store had also entered my name incorrectly into their system. As a Navy veteran, this issue hindered my eligibility for a military promotion, all due to a mismatch in their records. What's more disheartening is that I had raised this issue with them three times prior, with each instance supposedly resulting in a fix.
This ordeal has left me deeply dissatisfied with this establishment. Despite never having written a review before, I felt compelled to share my experience now. I have no intention of returning to this store and highly do not recommend...

Read moreWent in to this store to get a new phone. I’ve been AT&T customer for over 20yrs. Sales representatives Nate was helping me. I advised him what phone I wanted and he pulled up my account information.I showed him my trade in phone and he advised a $350 trade in would be applied to new $1200 Iphone. They took my old phone after transfer and deleted it. The invoices were emailed to me. After looking over the invoices at home I realized there was no mention of the trade in. I called the store and spoke to the manager. He apologized and advised I WOULD be getting the $350 credit towards the new phone not to worry. He also advised to come in if I wanted receipt for my records. I went in today and spoke with Nate who advised he couldn’t pull up anything to print as the old phone was already shipped… After calling AT&T customer service they advised me due to the plan I have I am not eligible for trade in. She said the store made a mistake. I said so what now?? She said the trade in value would have been $350 but the only thing I was eligible for was cash value. How much? $65… I asked if she could just send me my old phone back to me she said that they are unable to do that.. I don’t know if it was intentional or incompetence, but I would not recommend this store to anyone! If you still decide to shop there, I would have everything documented, dated and signed before you left...
