So our first visit I didn’t write a review on nor did I feel like I had to. Last night our second visit definitely bothered me. First time we came here food was ok, wife ordered a second drink it got to her with thick red lip stick on it. No big deal bring it up almost watch the bartender pour the dirty drink into a clean glass than tells me she’ll just remake it. Didn’t complain about this the first time. Last night our waitress was Riley? Greeted by her and her opening statement can I get you guys anything for happy hour the entire bar is 50% off. I am with my wife and friend so we all get a drink and shot because it’s happy hour. I get two more drinks so does my friend and my wife is enjoying herself with this happy hour( which never really happens). We finish I ask for the bill and it is as if there’s no happy hour. I ask our waitress and she takes it up to the front asks than come back with the exact same bill of $180 and said I’m sorry I made a mistake. Happy hour doesn’t start till later.I still tipped the server as she was an okay server. Should she have fixed the bill yes. So after over paying $90 because that’s 50% I now will never...
Read moreThe River Deck at Squid Lips is brand new with a lot of potential. It's an outdoor restaurant (covered) with a fabulous view and a nicely decorated interior. Unfortunately, a few drawbacks must be mentioned. My meal was not up to expectations, the fish was very dry, and not much sauce to help moisten. Several shortcomings of the decor start with lack of fans! The most popular tables, near the water, are stifling and very uncomfortable without moving air when humidity is high. Also regrettable, the water's-edge tables have a very disagreeable feature, when seated, the railing of the deck is just at eye level, substantially blocking the beautiful view! The location is a beautiful setting and I hope it can achieve...
Read moreWe stopped in on Sunday afternoon for drinks. The was a band playing when Reese came to get our drink order. It’s impressive that a new building has a stage area for bands. Reese was quick and helpful. The atmosphere is quite nice in this brand new facility. There is a beach feel with a huge underwater mural and lots of beach colors. It’s pretty much all outdoor seating with hurricane shutters to close off the majority of the space. The view is obviously spectacular! The menu looks typical for a bar and less extravagant than the over-water location. Mostly appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and poke bowls. We had a great experience and plan to stop back soon to try...
