My stay was ruined by the lack of hospitality by the staff under the leadership of manager on duty, Nick Somerelli. Check out time is 11 am. I was using this hotel while doing late night work in NYC. I only needed a single night. I checked in at 3 pm and found a fairly clean room. This hotel is definitely an older property and it shows as you approach the building and by the worn carpets. I was greeted appropriately by front desk and staff. I was able to settle in before leaving for late night work. I returned to the property around 6:00 am. I approached the front desk to request a late check out. I explained that it was likely I would be on time but my flight was late in the day and a little extra rest would be much appreciated. The person at the desk said it wasn't his responsibility to allow late check out. He did say he would let the next shift know the situation. I woke up in time to finish some paperwork before checking out. This is when this place became a nightmare. A little before 10 am I received a call to remind me the check out time. I asked for understanding of my situation and it not only fell on deaf ears the person on the phone quipped, sorry, late check out would not be happening. This was already infuriating. I've had properties where they at least attempted to help. This person was practically belligerent I asked for an hour. Then the knock on the door was practically immediate upon hanging up on the phone. They tried to open the door while I was alerting them I was not dressed to receive. Then I placed the door latch in the closed position. I thought telling them I was getting ready would be enough communication to alleviate their concerns. Instead, the knock on the door and the attempt to enter my room occurred again in about 10 minutes. Like clock work this continued every 10 minutes until closer to 11 am. Then the voice on the other side of the door started yelling it was check out time and beating on the door. I completed my preparations to leave and exited my room at around 11:05 am. The person was not in the hall who had been knocking and yelling. Instead she was yelling at another guest from inside that room about not checking out on time. Ultimately, I exited this property only stopping to get the manager on duty name, Nick Somerelli to write this review. Let me be clear, all of the positive value of this property was negated by the lack of hospitality of staff. Since I received this experience from all staff in the morning, I can only think this behavior is systematic beginning with their management. I will not be...
Read moreI work for a Motorcoach company that spends a lot of money here. We have consistent rooms payed for, seven days a week. The maids knock on my door every morning, waking me up. One morning, I finally got up and answered the door, purely out of curiosity to what they would want. I open the door and let the maid do as she wished. There was a language discrepancy. So I just let her come in and do as she wished as I packed my bag and did my morning routine...weird, but we're all human. Doing a job to survive. So, whatever, I guess. I definitely will not be answering the door again. So,... she is knocking on my door to get my room "done," to move on. That's ridiculous! But, here is where I'm disturbed and pissed. First, why I'm disturbed. The maid came in and took all my dirty towels, good. Replaced with new "clean" ones, .... good. (???... all of this part is on an honor system. Without special equipment, all of the bedding and towels are "clean."). She then, made the bed, replacing NOTHING. I checked in Friday, September 19th, 2025. That means that one of my coworkers, that came in on the night of the 20th got to share a bed with me. Just separate nights. The pillow that I rubbed my face in, plus the sheets that I farted in, just being honest, lol. My coworkers slept in my bedding. With no clue! Because my company pays for these rooms in advance and also believing that changing rooms will not make a difference, I now have to sleep in pre-used and slept in bedding and pillows. I did request new bedding. A trash bag full of bedding was delivered to my room. The pillow thing really gets me. Do people drool while they sleep? Wash their face? Do they shower before bed? Or do ANYTHING else in the bed before going to sleep??? What really got me chapped was that as I was checking in, September 21, 2025 at around 9pm, I asked for the manager in charge. As I told her my concern, she looked at me like a deer in headlights and okeyed-doked the hell out of me. I got to my room and couldn't bare not having clean bedding. I went back down and requested me bedding. The smirk on her face was infuriating. She offered nothing! I had to specifically ask for ask me bedding. "I'll make it myself." If you don't know this, managers set the tone and standards in a work place. My family owns resorts and her attitude and lack of hospitality (her job) is ridiculously horrible. If it wasn't for my job paying for it, having no choice, I'd never stay here. It's gross! Who are you sharing...
Read moreHighly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a place to stay while attending an event at MetLife Stadium.| |I looked at pretty much every hotel near MetLife Stadium (where we went for a concert), and this one is like a hidden gem. Their online booking system may feel outdated, but I'm so glad I didn't let that scare me off. The price when I booked was about $100 lower than other nearby options plus they have a free shuttle to and from the American Dream mall (from there you can take the pedestrian bridge to get to MetLife Stadium) and free hot breakfast to boot! Also, plenty of free parking.||The room was perfectly modern and clean with all the usual furnishings, plus a window that opens. We did have one incident where, upon returning, we unlocked the door with our key but the door wouldn't open more than a couple inches because the security deadbolt mechanism had somehow engaged itself! We went to the front desk, where they didn't seem too surprised and said this does happen occasionally. They called maintenance, walked with us to our room, and a maintenance man met us there with a simple tool to release the mechanism. It was all resolved in a matter of minutes.||The shuttle is a white van with the hotel's logo on the side. It picks up passengers right outside the lobby doors. There was a helpful, informative sign at the reception desk with more details, e.g., it explained the drop-off / pick-up location at the mall and provided a phone number to call in case of any issues.||Breakfast was in La Reggia, the Italian restaurant located off the hotel's lobby. The offerings were what you'd expect for a hotel hot breakfast buffet - e.g. scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausages, pancakes, plus continental breakfast options - but it was a step above what you usually get at chain hotels because the eggs were real and the sausages more substantial and tasty!| |We also got a coupon for the restaurant upon checking in, so we had dinner there the night we checked in and it was amazing. Every dish was excellent, so flavorful, and the wait staff was attentive and super friendly. Two members of our party had food allergies (to tree nuts and sesame) and the restaurant accommodated them without issue.||Finally, as covid-conscious folks, we were pleased to see one of the front desk staff wearing a...
