Secaucus Public Library and Business Resource Center — Attraction in Secaucus

Do not go here! Beware! Im a woman 40s stopped here from NY. i had time before checking into a hotel in area. Staff and the janitor were discriminating against me trying to get me to leave library over few hrs. The janitor was staring at me like i didnt belong there! yet i have equal rights to public places! i tried to relax and pay attention to reading and even put headphone on. but he kept giving me looks. and another staff person was staring sat near me then went in aisle standing using his iphone and followed me a few times as i changed my seat to different areas to get away from them. another guy followed me 3xs. they all kept trying to use tactics staring noise phones to get me to leave. when using bathroom janitor banged on bathroom door trying to get me to leave bathroom .i told a clerk and they said try police because they couldnt do anything. but i didnt. i was being spied on and horrible interference as i tried to concentrate. i will let manager of library know...

The Batik painting class (a traditional art form using wax as a blocker) with renowned artist John Mubiru and his wonderful brother was truly one of the finest programs the Secaucus Library has ever hosted.

What immense fun! It was fantastic, informative, and an absolute delight, students practically floated out of the room with their beautiful creations in hand.

Even my piece (pictured), the least among them, makes me smile every time I look at it. My pigeon, which was meant to be a bluebird, has completely stolen my heart.

There is no such thing as a bad library--unless it's one that's closed. But on the scale of good ones, Secaucus ranks near the top. There are other libraries with more books on shelves but, as a member of the BCCLS network, the library can order just about anything you want and it will arrive within a day or two. What makes this location special, however, is the facility itself. Optimally set up to serve small business owners, it offers conference and meeting rooms upstairs.
